Agh! Why is this CTD happening??

Okay, so I downloaded another mod, which kinda buggered up my whole RTW folder so I uninstalled everything, every trace of RTW from my PC, re-installed everything, the same way I did the first time, the patches in succession then PE etc, except now when I start a new campaign I get an CTD, with all factions....what the hell!? I have done nothing different, nothing whatsoever. I also get CTD whenever I attempt a custom battle.

After the installation was finished I deleted the map file things which auto ran after I had finished installing so it can't be that...I am just at a loss to as what could be causing this.

I have uninstalled and re-reinstalled everything twice now and i get the same CTD, but not before?

Are you sure you installed the patches correctly?

Thankyou for your reply Finn but I have indeed read that guide, I have followed everything...I have done everything exactly the same as the 1st time I installed RTRPE1.9 - and I had zero problems, but now it won't even let me start a campaign. I am clueless to as how to resolve this.

No error message whatsoever? Do me a favour, check the following folders and delete the map.rwm files by hand. Maybe somehow they weren`t removed.
* c:\RTW\data\world\maps\base
* c:\RTW\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign

I`m sorry to say it, but I can`t think of anything else. Maybe there was somethign you forgot to do the second time or you`ve made some changes to your PC. If you`re positive you`ve installed the game correctly and patched up correctly then...
Besides, if you would have messed somethign with the patches or the mod you`d usually get an error message of some kind when it crushes. When you`ve said you`ve completely uninstalled it you`ve also deleted the game folder?

Yeah, as last time, I manually removed the RTW folder prior to uninstallation.

I know I keep saying it, but for god's sake, I really wanna know what's causing this lol....I just cannot come up with anything. I mean, I usually have at least some point of investigation but here I have nothing. Sod all.

I have removed and re-installed twice and the same thing happens, even got rid of the RTRPE and re-downloaded from a different mirror...(not that that would make any difference but what the hell)
