    Default Another batch of revolutions?

Anyone else get the feeling that old sentiment of revolucione(!) might creep back into our lives?

I mean, we are at some point going to suffer a recession, if we're not already starting now, and by looking at how the economy, how the USA is managed, and how the state of the world's resources are today, are the calls for revolution very far off? Or too far-fetched?

Are revolutions passe? Or now that capitalism vs communism has pretty much ended, are we going to find something else to revolutionize about?

Will capitalism ever wane to the point of some gerontocratic, plucocratic society? Are we there already?

The past 250 years has seen many revolutions, will it continue into the 21st century?

Well no one in the West wants a revolution. We're comfortable were we are and besides, we're too lazy for a revolution.

Remind me to rep you in 30 days.

Anyway, the economy's not that bad, we're not in a recession, just slowdown, yes there's a depression in 4% of the market but that's it. Point is people don't care that much as they have no concept of the world politics, unable to form opinion, they're ignorant, content to learn from 24hour news channels and watch tv every night.

Myself... I'll probably move to France, Sweden... Maybe Cuba or the D.R.

See you on the other side of the revolution.

Revolutions are for historybooks and third world countries. Us Europeans are finally getting the hang of this peace thing. Why would we want to stop now and throw away sixty years of progress?

Maybe we'll see communist revolutions when the capitalist superpowers begin influencing their national governments too significantly to the point of extreme corruption. That is, of course, if no immediate action is taken and the rich and wealthy refuse to step in to aid those who suffer the most (the lower middle class and poor, who are too afraid of starting movements without significant initial support, and are often too lazy).

Oh, I'd beg to differ... I can guarantee that US and China will be competing ferociously in the 21st century.
