Just put all the relevant files into the imperial campaign folder, and rename the corresponding text files accordingly, and you should probably do this in a mod folder as opposed to your main install folder.

Did you change the name of the campaign in descr_stat to imperial_campaign?
Did you change the imperial_campaign_regions_and_settlements.txt file to refer to the regions & settlements in the mundus campaign?
Did you delete the map.rwm file?
Do you have -show_err on your command line to possibly help with errors?

The files in there should also be replaced by their corresponding ones in the provincial campaign folder.

In theory, as long as everything was done correctly.

I am trying to do the same thing that GaivsSejanvs did as discussed in this thread except I'm trying to use Alex.exe rather than RTW.exe. Hence, I am using a Alexander folder rather than a Imperial Campaign folder. Also, rather than using imperial_campaign_regions_and_settlement_names.txt I am using alexander_regions_and_settlement_names.txt. Other than that I've done everything as described by Squid above. However, rather than getting a CTD like GaivsSejanvs was getting I am getting a KTM. Then when I exit out of the game I get the following strange error:

Line 925 is the romans_julii settlement at Etruria, the first settlement listed in descr_strat. It works fine in the provincial version of this mod, but gives me this strange error when I try to use Imperial. Can anyone tell me how to resolve this strange error?

Try it with imperial_campaign_regions_and_settlement_names.txt and see what happens.

    Boristus,

I did that and used -noalexander and that did the trick. I still don't understand how that made it work, but at least it is working now. Thanks man you rock!

I just wanted to say to all, that I have 3 mods, all using MM as the Imperial or Main Campain. When using RomeTW-ALX.exe, the -noalexander switch is what I used to get things working for mods of RomeTW v1.5. You can use the imperial_campaign folder, as other posters mentioned above.

I need help with Mundus Magnus. I've tried to install it to my main RTW folder, but whenever I start a provincial campaign, the game crashes. So I made a bunch of copies of the RTW, and installed v1.2 for patch 1.5 to 1 of them and it worked. The problem I'm having now is that I can't add extra units to the game. I've tried adding a unit, but the game crashes in Custom battle, halfway thru the loading bar for custom battles. It's quite ridiculous, because that same unit I used on my old computer, but back then I had Windows XP. My new pc runs on Windows 7. Do any of you guys think that that might be the problem? Any help or advice would be apreciated.

    Are you using show_error?

Ehh, I can't find the shortcut button/tab in properties when I right click on the Rome exe button. I'll reinstall the Gold Edition...again. I left the main folder untouched and used the copies I made for modding the campaign. The only thing I could think of is some sort of firewall or security program that's preventing the file from being modified.
Btw, thanks for the reply. Didn't think I would get one so soon.

About the not finding shortcut tab in properties, well I've forgot to mention that I couldn't find it in the copy folders, But it's there in the main folder and desktop. My mistake. about show_er, do I have to write it like this: -show_err" ? I forgot how it works. Can't remember in which tutorial I read it.

Here is the way I have mine set up to work with this map. "C:\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\RomeTW-ALX.exe" -noalexander -nm -show_err -mod:RTWMOD

I'm not sure if it is related to your crash or not, but if you are using Windows 7 you need to be sure to install your RTW files some where other than in the programs folders. If your installation is in the programs folders Windows 7 won't allow you to modify your game.

Mine is set in the program files (x86). But even there I get the crash, well not entirely true. Some of the versions of MM just reboot back to faction select screen. It could be a security software problem. I just don't know. I've uninstalled the game and I'll reinstall it again. This time I'll use the 1.5 patch and see what happens. Even though it's not necessary.
