Yeah for selective bits of video recorded by someone who by his own commentary clearly showed up there with an agenda to provoke something. You expect this to be taken seriously the creative editing alone discounts it as little more then nonsense.

Exactly. It's a common-enough tactic in street marches, today.
Notice that the cameraman doesn't show what provoked a response from the police.
By the way, how many "peaceful protesters" were killed, in this march? And how many protesters were killed in Tibet, by Chinese troops? If our friend Lunar is going to make a comparison between the United States and China, I think we ought to have the statistics ...
At the first bits it seems the two cops are acting like provocatours but other than that nothing is really clear. They look like they just wanted to control the protestors running through the streets.
What happened to nice cops that just eat donuts anyway?

Haven't you seen 12 Angry Men?
Protestors just get in the way sometimes. Jesus, let us do our owning business it's not our problem Tibet is messed up. It's the Tibetans...

What exactly are they protesting for?
HEY PIGS GO TO CHINA AND HELP OUT PIGS OINK OINK OINK OINK
I saw no beating, and the video is obviously HEAVILY edited.
And the police wouldn't have acted the way they did if the protesters didn't provoke them. It's not like the NYPD are suppressing protesters for fun and giggles.
Not to mention they misquoted everything. Ugh, and the Youtube morons are eating it up saying Americans are pigs, police abuse their power, ect.

I beat off to Tibetan protestors being kicked heavily in the head.
This one was disappointing.

The historic enmity between cops and monks goes back thousands of years. We should not intervene, its between them, they'll work it out.
Was this at Union Square? Because I saw a Tibetan protest of Beijing 2008. They were quite insulting when I tried to rationalize with them, leading to the point where me and some mates drew Chinese flags on paper and waved them about.
edit: That's definitely the one I witnessed. Was playing some lacrosse when it happened. There were no excessively violent cops.
Uhhhhh..... Never read youtube posts. They knock your IQ down about 10 points per Letter.
On to the point. The protestors seemed to be provoking them. So I think this is a case of selective editing.

If them protestor fight back they would of be shot..
umm i didnt see any "provocation" in the vid. Also, it clearly shows peaceful protesters being beat by nightsticks for no reason. How enjoyable.
