    Default Custom Victory Conditions (Byz Done)

    Ok after seeing the number of people that responded to my byzantine thread (thanks all )and the info I got there I went and did this


    Byzantium
    hold_regions Constantinople_Province Roman_Province Jerusalem_Province
    take_regions 70
    short_campaign hold_regions Constantinople_Province Bari_Province Arta_Province Durazzo_Province Scopia_Province Sofia_Province Canakkale_Province Smyrna_Province Isle_of_Rhodes Isle_of_Crete Caffa_Province Sinop_Province Trebizond_Province Ankara_Province Iconium_Province Adana_Province Caesarea_Province Antioch_Province Diyarbakir_Province Tbilisi_Province Yerevan_Province
    take_regions 25


    I tested it and it worked just replace this over the old byzantine victory conditions and play

    any suggestion are welcome (what to change or what one I should try to do next)

    form the lack of responses I don't know if I should even bother to try and do it for any other factions?

    what about
    short_campaign hold_regions Constantinople_Province 10 Bari_Province Arta_Province Durazzo_Province Sco...

    the added 10 means that they must hold that region for 10 turns.
    this is just a suggestion.

    i have done a few tests with the KoJ using these VCs(them being the ai of course)...
    jerusalem
    hold_regions Jerusalem_Province 50 Kerak_Province 10 Acre_Province 10 Antioch_Province Damascus_Province
    take_regions 5

    I'm not sure if its coincidence but they seem to defend their borders and Jerusalem very well. They don't try to take more land instead just patrolling their own borders.

    A comment from someone with experience in this field of modding would be very helpful.

    I did not think victory conditions had an effect on AI behaviour :hmmm:
    It's redundant to write your username at the end of your post,

    I remember reading about it awhile back but I cant say for sure.

    It is very interesting and I'm going to try it with a few other factions.
