Community Goals for the Campaign

Hi, I read the other Byzantium thread and there have been some requests for this so I'll make a start! Here are a few brief possible aims to make your campaign more interesting.

England

-Create the United Kingdom (conquer the whole British Isles).
-Never ally with France (trade agreements possible but not recommended)
-When at war with France send your King to fight the French with the early BEF (British Expeditionary Force). Think the Hundred Years War.
-Develop London into an economic powerhouse and Nottingham into a military powerhouse.
-Never Lose Caen to the French
-Take Normandy, Flanders and Brittany.
-Eventually wipe out the French and
-Send regular crusades to the Holy Land until you succeed in taking Jerusalem and Acre. Establish a crusader state (could roleplay its own leader ie. take a general and keep him as the Grand Crusader) and support the Templars (if they still exist by this point).
-Try and make your armies a core of a few units of knights with bill/spear/sword militia as the main force. Makes it harder and is more realistic.


Scotland

-Use pikes and highlanders in your armies a lot-more historical and makes it challenging.
-Try out raiding- e.g. sail over to Norway and take a settlement, sack it completely and then move on/return home. Same method could be used against Ireland/England.
-Never ally with England (trade possible)
-Ummm. I'm getting stuck-I don't know Scotland that well...

Byzantium (Copied and adapted from Delra)

- Ally with the HRE and fellow Orthodox factions-maintain strong relationships with Kievan Rus and Novgorod. Stay friendly with them.
- Conquer the Holy Land
- Take Asia Minor from Seljuks up to Trebizond, reconquer Balkans to the Danube line.
- Take Bari early and try to put up a fight in southern Italy
- Marry Anna to somebody who's worth it (lmao...nice)
- Build barracks and harbour in Constantinople to the max level
- Block the Bosphorus with your superior navies (no Jihads coming through!)
- Get full dread emperor through assassins guild
- Kill Mongols before they kill everything else

Spain/Aragon

-Maintain strong relations with Spain/Aragon (depends on who you are) although if they backstab you and a ceasefire can't be attained, annihilate them.
-Push the Moors out of Spain and make sure they never enter the Peninsula again. Never Ally with muslims, especially the Moors.
-If you're feeling brave, try an invasion of Africa and take Timbuktu, exploiting its resources.
-Also invade Corsica/Sardinia.
-Try to Ally with Portugal/France but if not possible don't be afraid to attack-screw the pope.
-Join any crusade and attempt to create a crusader state.

Its just a start and so feel free to criticize or add ideas of your own; let the discussion begin!
