What did you guys think of religious school? I went to Hebrew school and it was pretty boring. However, I heard the worst is Greek school because it is just one day a week but is 4 hours long. I feel bad for those kids....

I went to a CofE primary school. I can understand why you would send your kids to a religious school if you were religious, but when it's the only school nearby that actually has pupils get more than a Level 3 in their SATs, you don't have much of a choice, it's kinda irritating. Being forced to write "prayers" all the time and being told off if you didn't "pray" in assembly, combined with teachers who were closet homosexuals without the spine to stand up and admit it because of their beleifs put me off of religion for a very long time.
I go to a Catholic school, but you don't have to pray or sing when everyone else does. Very few people there actually are religious. I'm fine with most of them. The exception is the Vardy group.
Also went to Catholic School. The only things that we had to attend that were religious were once-a-month assemblies and a semester of "Christian" ethics. What they should have said was Catholic ethics... don't even try to bring up capital punishment or contraception there. Oh boy!
I went to a crazy christian fundamentalist school, if I had to put in hours at a sunday school I would have shot myself.
I currently go to a catholic high school. It can be annoying at times, especially with the dress code. But, we don't have to do much religiously except bimonthly mass and 4 years of theology. Although, you can't really bring up any opposing view points in that class either. Oh, and how could I forget the abstinence talks!
I am against any and all kinds of private school for minors. I think all schooling from preschool to college should be handled by public school systems, and that if one wants a private education at a private or religious school, they should have to wait until they are at least 18.
Even though studies show that privatized (not necessarily religious) school systems (voucher-based like the ones in most of Europe) are proven to have better results?I am against any and all kinds of private school for minors. The flow of time is always cruel... its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it... A thing that does not change with time is a memory of younger days...
Under the perspicacious and benevolent patronage of the great and honorable Rez and a member of S.I.N
He who joyfully marches to music rank and file, has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action. It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder.
religious schools should be limited to people over the age of 45
there is no place for confusing messages in childrens lives, golden rule, study hard and stay in school !
Where I was growing up, all schools were Christian (even public schools), hated every minute of it.
Cathlic school also (what else)
however there are VARIED differences in "style"
i went to a Jesuit one....pretty liberal.......then there are others
it also depends whether the nuns or the priest preside on the the school, not necesarily the principle but the School President
yeah can be pretty boring.........but all in all i've never encountered AUTOCRATIC people there.in the Jesuit of course cept the nuns and the dominicans.....

I must have confused you guys. I was talking about religious schools that happened after secular school(e.g. Sunday School).
Oh. Well that's boring then.
Sunday School?
LOL even us would find it TOO much
its much more of a voluntary basis anyway

I go to a Christian school. The denomination is Calvary Assembly of God. I think it's good.
