game freezes when someone destroys a faction

i cant continue my game due to kievan rus taking the mongols last settlement.... It keeps freezing.... i also noticed in my teutonic campaing, when i destroyed the lithuanians, the game froze also ...... anyone know how i can get passed this?

The faction goes to horde mode, this can take up to 30 mins.
Just wait.

Or it can lockup, I can confirm this, I have waited as much as an hour before tabbing out. That's why I have removed this feature from my campaigns. It's silly anyway, the hording factions hardly ever take back their home regions, and if so they just sit there and wait until the next faction kicks them out again, and makes them horde again

How can this annoying, "hording" when destroyed,be written off?

By altering the file descr_sm_factions.txt. Remove everything that starts with horde_ (between custom_battle_availability and can_sap). Needs a new campaign.

Can you just delete the file desct_sm_.txt.

Sounds like a feature not worth having to me as well. Every time a faction loses its last settlement = game freezes/locks up. Most annoying, and anything that makes such a great mod this unstable should be removed imo.

I am thinking along the same lines here, I am really for using all the possibilities DLV offers, harder game, garrisons,more plague, additional building and recruiting requirements but this one feature is not for me.

I think it's a

thing that every faction hordes, even if you kill their last king and family members in the battle in the last city.
I prefer losing that battle and destroy the faction instead of kicking them around in horde.
