Guild Bug
Aight, I'm using 4.1 and some 80 turns in I started getting this weird bug.
Two turns in a row now I have gotten a prompt to build a Woodsmen's Guild in Nottingham. Both times I accepted. Neither time was it built. I lost the money, but no building is displayed in the city browser...
Same thing happened for the Master Assassin's Guild in Edinburgh next two rounds.

Re: Guild Bug
And now every turn its offering me the Master Assassin's Guild... so I don't even have the potential of getting others.

Re: Guild Bug
Are you sure that cash was actually deducted? Maybe you just have no cash for it so it's keep offering until you gather enough?

Re: Guild Bug
No, the first two times I did it, I definitely had the money. I saw it subtracted Then it kept appearing when I didn't have money, so obviously nothing was subtracted then. Eventually, I freed up some room by canceling building queues, and tried again, but I just lost the money.
After about six or seven turns of this I just hit cancel (not accept), and it went away. The next turn I was presented with some other guilds for different settlements, which I accepted (and *think* I got). But I haven't gotten the Master Assassin's or Master Woodsmen's Guild again yet.

Re: Guild Bug
Good News: About forty turns later, after lots of other guild offers for different cities, I was once again offered a Master Assassin's Guild in Edinburgh. When I accepted, the money was taken, and the guild was upgraded. Bug seems to have worked itself out.
