Generic error, some help please

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I couldn't find a specific tech support one; I have installed IBFD 7.0 and then 7.03 on a clean BI 1.6 and when I try to load the game I get the following error:

Generic Error:

Unable to find skeleton 'fs_spearman_big'

I did a search but couldn't find anything, sorry if this is a known issue.

Hmm:hmmm: This relates to the skeleton file. It may be that your install was not fully successful. Try reinstalling, but first ensure that you have the latest patches for RTW and BI. Then install IBV7.0, then install Patch IBV7.03and see how you go.

Be careful to direct the installer to the right path. Iirc IBFD`s installer needs access to the vanilla files while it is setting up the mod.
I got a similar error with TIC because I tried to install it in a different folder and then copy paste from there.

1) RTW
2) BI
3) 1.6 patch
4) IBFD 7.0 (default folder, didn't touch a thing)
5) patch 7.03 for IBFD.

Am I missing some step? Should I direct the installer to a folder inside the RTW folder?

Yes, you should point the installer inside the RTW folder.

That's what I did, I was asking whether it should be pointed inside a subfolder of RTW, like "bi" or "data" or something, but probably not. I tried it again and got the exact same error, so I guess that concludes it for me...

maybe it's stupid question, but did you install patches 1.3 and 1.5 before you install BI? Because this was my procedure and IBFD was functional on the first attempt. i can't remember if patches 1.3 and 1.5 are included in 1.6.:hmmm:

the fs_spearmen_big is a vanilla skeleton, so there should be something wrong with RTW or BI installation. Have you installed other mods and if yes, do they work?

No I didn't, but I 'll try this as a last resort; I thought BI itself was 1.4 anyway so I wouldn't need the 1.3 patch or the 1.5, since I patch BI to 1.6. At least I don't remember applying the 1.3 and 1.5 patches before installing a mod with BI as basis (like TIC e.g.). Thanks, I 'll try it.

edit: sorry misread your question probably; yes I have installed other mods (not in parallel) and they work; atm I have TIC installed and EB a while ago.

You need to ensure you have a clean RTW and BI as some mods like EB modify these folders and may effect the running of IB, IJ and IBFD mods.
