    Default Hotseat Grand Campaign

    I've got the Kingdom's expansion and it reads in the manual that the multiplayer hotseat campaign is added to the Grand Campaign, but I can't play it. I start up Total War and go into multiplayer and there isn't the option for hotseat, just LAN and internet.
    Any idea what's happened? I can play multiplayer hotseat on all the Kingdom's campaigns...

    Playing Multi player on the Grand Campaign is possible,
    However there are first a few steps you need to take.

    1. Locate the file "medieval2.preference.cfg" in your TW Directory.

    2. Open the .cfg file through Notepad (when you double click it, it will ask you what you want to open it with).

    3. if all goes well you should see lines of code, very easy and basic format.
    Here you will insert a new line of Code :

    [multiplayer]
    playable = true

    (copy and paste the above in the cfg file)

    4. By doing this you have activated the Multiplayer in Grand mode, Save the File"

    5. Alright, Load up the Vanilla game like you normally would.
    However you won't find hotseat like in Kingdoms expansion.
    All you need to do is play as if you are starting up a single player game, since you have updated the cfg to make multiplayer active, your single player setup will act as Multiplayer. (you can choose multipule kingdoms, password protective etc...)
    Good Luck, Hope this explanation wasn't too confusing.

    6. Play!

    Well, after that, add the following lines below multiplayer in the same text file.

    [hotseat]
    turns = 0
    scroll = 0
    autoresolve_battles = 0
    disable_console = 0
    disable_papal_elections = 0
    save_prefs = 1
    update_ai_camera = 1
    validate_diplomacy = 1
    Otherwise hotseat will be very frustrating as you would not be able to defend yourself.
    It's redundant to write your username at the end of your post,
    if I wanted to see your name I'd look to the left of my screen.
