Well, nobody's knowns. This project is unborn and was never previewed.

The Senones were called "the old", "the first" and "the ancient", and liked to be called as such, as beeing the first tribe to settle in this aera in modern middle and north-western france. They were one of the first Celtic tribes, led by Brennus, to travel south-west, through the Alps in the fertile lands of Northern italy. The senones were a powerful threat and famously defeated, after a peace treaty was considered broken, the Roman republic, probably overconfident then, at the river Allia. It was a massacre, and Rome was, for the first and last time over a near millenium, sacked and burnt. They finally gone after the famous story of Brennus throwing his sword into the balance after the romans make doubt of the weights used to measuring the quantity of gold that will let them leave, saying "woe to the vanquisher"... This has a long-term effect on roman inhabitants psyche, a long-living trauma which led to the building of another bigger wall, and under Marcus Furius Camilius, the first great reform of the Roman army since the eve of the republic, but also a spirit of implacable revenge, if not extermination, for all succeeding consuls, including Caesar himself...
In 300bc, the Senones has evolved into a powerful confederacy of client tribes, amongst them were the Parisii, Cenomani, Lingones, and Aulerci. The threat of the northen neighbouring belgians, especially the powerful bellovaci, led to an old and fierce opposition, the position of the Senones, just of this frontier between the Cesarean "gallia belgica" and "gallia bracata", led to constant warfare and earned them the title of "shield of the gauls", as they protect the other tribes against the belgian threat. As such, they were rewarded and reveived huge tributes in order to gather the bigger army around. This power was balanced in central-southern gaul by only one nation, the mighty Arverni. This make this faction not easy to play with, an very challenging position, but also a wide range of units for all kind of tactics, including many elite troops.

A great thanks for genava, catw celtic historical advisor and researcher, which fuelled the accuracy of this depiction of the celts in 300 bc and after (until the cesarean Conquest), and without his careful and constant support, such a thing would not have been possible at all.
i want to thank also warmly Frank Mathieu, reenacter, researcher and talented craftsman for his very inspiring shields, helmets, scabbards and swords, and particularly the celtic leather cuirasses which were a revelation, having in mind the famous Wilcox and McBride's "Rome's enemies2 Gallic and british Celts" since then...

The finest warriors of northern Gauls, the Senones nobles, the client nobles, the king and his Soldures, the Champion and his Ambactes, various elite warriors and behind a massive force of Cingetos, heavy and light, youth and veterans ready to fight, and supporting heavy skirmishers...

Various forefront, wing and rear troops, Gaisates, Acuadretti, Excinges, and behind Bagaudas and peasant levies. Far away on the rear-wings, cavalrymen (Eporedia, Rigeporedia, Gaiseredus, and Essedon (chariots).

I think EB and some other Mods have options for clothing/nude,so maybe idea here? My missus doesn't like seeing me do gaming with naked men...(oh hmm sounds funny..heh-that is computer gaming..)..gewd...scarey. And I feel wierd with it also and don't play a faction with it,so clothing OK for me if possible. Merci..

Yeah, you'll find the same loincloth option than other mods. I can also make a trousers-wearing alternative for the regular gaesate, as they were described as nude or half-nude, if you prefer.

The campaign began in 300 bc. That means that the roman still not have vanquished the samnites and their position in italy itself is...precarious. No less than three hostile factions are on their vicinity : The boians (and senones) north and some independant peoples like the rhaetians and etrucans, the illyrians east, magna grecia and the epirus south and east. The boians, senones, illyrians and epirus are all playable; Syracuse would be also added as alternative faction instead of the scythians (well deserved with the bosporans).
In the east the diadochi are on their full power, and successors wars are not extinguished. Lysimachus, for example, hold an immense empire stretched between tthrace and asia minor. Pontus and Armenia are small independent states, freshly freed, the Parthians and Sarmatians are yet just beginning their deadly run through the steppes.
To the north, the gauls are preparing a second, massive invasion of northern italy and beyond. No less than four powers are in struggle : The Boians, Senones, Bellovaci and Arverni. The last are immensely rich and ambitious, while the brave Belgians are leaded by the Bellovaci, ready to march south, holding the Senones and their clients in a cold war. if the Belgians are repelled, they could ever attempt to conquer britain.
In the dark and cold forest of germany, a single tribe is about to federate most of its rivals, the Suevi.

The end date is the one by default (roughly the first augustean principate). But in three centuries, there is more chances to conquer the world before (the 200 regions of MM map, which , as in EB are mostly inhabited by numerous independent and poweful peoples).

The next release would be full-english. Working on accurate unit depictions since a year, but it's nearly finished. catw is featuring no less than four celtic factions, and based on mundus magnus map, modfoldered on RTW1.5 basis.

Amazing mod !

Here I post a small fix made by me to correct a ctd in battle and some errors found in descr_strat and in descr_regions (world\maps).

Once the english translations are ready, catw03 official will be out at least.
