There were plans to make a Medieval Total Realism, but I believe the mod died.

Any plans about a Total Realism mod for Barbarian Invasion. I really like the world setting and era of the Barbarian Invasion expansion, and it'd be great if I could play that with the RTR gameplay. I am currently playing IBFD, but it's very fast-paced and has a high learning curve. It'd be great if there were an RTR-style mod in the BI era.

I think he actually meant a mod for BI`s timeframe, not just the BI engine. It gets asked from time to time. Reason for me to put it in the RTRPE FAQ. The playing with the BI.exe possibility was especially confusing to some.

Yes, I meant being able to play West Roman Empire or East Roman Empire in RTR-style, and build Roman Phase I, Roman Phase II and Roman Phase III in each city (and the barbarians have to do the same).
IBFD (Invasio Barbarorum) is a great mod, however it's the only mod of BI (or should I say, it's the only mod of the BI campaign). If you look at all the mods in Barbarian Invasion Hosted Modifications, all the other mods are total conversions (meaning, you are no longer playing WRE/ERE or the hordes, it's a totally different setting). In other words, I like the time era of barbarian invasions, and I like the campaign of barbarian invasions. As much as RTRPE is a fun way of playing the original RTW campaigns (and nearly every mod in Rome: Total War Hosted Modifications is a new way of playing the original RTW campaign, I wish the gameplay-style of all those mods could be extended in BI campaigns as well. Currently there is only IBFD.

In other words, it'd be great to be able to play an RTR version of the BI campaigns.

What about INVASIO BARBARORVM?

I don't like it though, units are too gray-ish and uncool.
