    Default Adopt as Generals?

Erm, sorry if its been covered already, but would it be possible to have the "man of the hour" thingy as an adopt as General?

I would love some more people as the byzantines right now, but don't want to spoil my royal bloodline

Spoiling the bloodline? Bah! Just give me more generals!

I find that usually the adopted become the creme of the creme as far as skill and retinue go. I often make them my faction heir in RTW. I don't think I have seen it happen in M2TW :hmmm:

No, this is not possible in M2TW with the man of the hour thing, it is only possible in RTW, but yes, you can adopt generals,(same thing are man of the hour) this only happens on two occassions, firstly, your family members count must be really low to the amount of regions conquered, and secondly, you must not have much generals married into your familys daughter. For examples if you have about 14 regions, and only 4-5generals, they the adoption scroll pops up...... Hope this helps......

I had an army of peasants and won a battle, and the captain got a 'man-of-the-hour' and now my best general (him) began as a peasant, he now has 9 command, 6 chivalry, 7 loyalty and 5 piety, and he is known as the Crusader. He is only like 34

I see what you are saying Secretly Female and it has happened to me too. My faction heir adopted a son before his first child (which was a boy) and so when the faction heir became king, the adopted son, since technically he was "first born", became his faction heir. Kind of annoying since I wanted a pure a blood line. So using cheat codes I gave the first born son the Faction Heir trait (this may not be necessary) and bumped off the adopted son so the real son became faction heir (I sent on a suicide mission in a naval battle, but you could try to assassinate him too).

Sorry if that sounds complicated, but maybe that will help you.
