'Fatal Error'

Upon finishing my installation of BC I suddenly received a message that 'MIITW suffered a Fatal Error'. My vanilla still seems to work, but BC doesnt start and just gets that message... whats up?

hmmmmm, so i have the same problem and i have no idea what to do. I have check and isntalled all the patchs that are offerd, and I still get this message. I need help what do I dooooooo.

I have exactly the same problem, I played BC before and I got vista and my copy of the game is english. a while ago I encountered the topic that goes about the new map textures and when I made a crappy install with them (way to complicated for a simple soul like me) I had to uninstall everything that has to do with m2tw and thus I made a fresh copy of m2tw>kingdoms (1.2 and 1.3 are appearantly installed with it)>BC, odd thing is that DLV all of sudden doesnt seem to work anymore as well.

EDIT: I tried the hotfix for vista and it worked, u guys should name all the stuff over there for 1.05 cause i assumed that 1.05 would have fixes for 1.0 incorporated into it.

Check the quick fixes and apply all patches

But maybe we need to expand:

uninstall MTW2
Go to your local directory where the MTW2 was installed (default: C:\Program Files\SEGA\) and delete the enitre folder
NOTE: make sure that if you have any other mods installed, you make the back-up of those first
Install MTW2 again
Install Kingdoms extension if have one
Apply CA official patch(es)
Install BC
Install quick fixes and BC patches which apply
