Default Definitive List of Released Mods - TWC Wiki

In an effort to update all playable released mods I am here offering to add or edit mod listings at the TWC Wiki Quickfinder Tables here:

    http://www.twcenter.net/wiki/Released_Mods

Please state what needs changing (if anything) if already listed.

If not listed then please provide (use this as a template for your reply):

    Modification Name:
    Platform:
    Type:
    Modfolder (folder name/overspill if minimal)?
    Map/Region:
    Era:
    Link:

    Example:

    Modification Name: End of Days
    Platform: BI 1.6
    Type: Fantasy
Modfolder (folder name/overspill if minimal)?: EOD/Yes (main video)
    Map/Region: European
    Era: Dark Ages
    Link: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=199

    Notes:

Platform: do remember the version number, RTW 1.2, 1.5 etc.

Type: historic, fantasy, mythic will cover most but some are special ones such as the Multi-Mod Sampler which is categorized as a "Unit Sampler". Please do not create new types unnecessarily.

Modfolder (folder name / overspill if minimal)?: may be be either yes, no or partial (use partial even if 99% of it is modfoldered!) / The modfolder name has been included here for convenience of the user and also in those rare cases where folder names may be the same / *IF* the overspill into vanilla is minimal then please state the files or folders that are not modfoldered and overwrite vanilla.

Map/Region: European, Vanilla, Fantasy, Greece, Middle-earth, etc. Known fantasy worlds can be listed by name but totally new made-up worlds should be classed as fantasy.

Era: 17th Century, Napoleonic, Eastern Mythology, etc.

Link: This can be a link to your web site, forum or release thread.

Note that the links in the Quickfinder tables take the user to a wiki page dedicated to your mod. I will NOT be filling this page but will place the submitted link there so that users can find your forums/site. I would encourage someone from your Team to add content to their mod page later. I am not adding mods to any other part of the Wiki either. Again, that is for others to do.

EDIT: there is currently no one updating the Wiki, but please do continue to post here so that when someone becomes available they can add your mod. If you are interested in becoming a Wiki editor for these tables, please PM me.

It's a shame more mods don't actively publicise when given a resource and the opportunity, the amount of times I've linked that wiki page, it's simply advertising without spamming.

May I suggest to add the mod-folder name to the tables. A few weeks ago I came across 2 mods with the same mod-folder name. If it is included in a table somewhere it *might* make people have a look before creating their own mod with a new modfolder.

I can add it to the mouseover text for the modfolder. It is a good idea. In the case of mods choosing the same folder name the effects could be disastrous...

Should The Crusades be listed as having an European map? It`s basically a section of the middle east.

Also, some of the symbols for the mod switch are neither red nor green. They have a corner of the oposite color. Was that intentionally made so as to show they are not completely mod switch?

Webbird. Added. Please check. Also, is it general European or is it Roman/Greek/Persian, etc...

florin - yes, the red tab on the modfolder is intentional and shows the mod is only partially modfoldered. Even 99% does not get you a full green folder

Is The Crusades (which also does not have a valid page on wiki that it links to btw) the same as this: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...t=38848&page=2

If so, mediterranean/near east might be a better description...but I really should have someone who is part of that Team respond...unless they are no longer in existence...

Yes, I agree with the concept, but maybe you should mention this somewhere. Less informed people might not notice the difference. Sorry if the note already exists and I`ve missed it.

No, that`s a different mod. I was refering to the mod Caius did. It has its own sub-forum at the .org, but just a thread here at twc:
    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=67723
There are also a couple more threads with previews and a few add-ons, but that`s the main one.

There isn`t one. Caius abandoned it time ago.

Great! Maybe you should change the RTR entry(the one for RTW v1.2) to Rome Total Realism 6 Gold to differentiate it from other versions. Just a suggestion.
And you have Punic wars for Res Gestae`s timeframe, but I think that the one with Roman Republic to Empire works better. It goes way beyond the punic wars into the imperial times. And it`s not centered on the punic wars in fact.

Also, I noticed TIC is missing from the list. Do you need a team member to give you the info for it?

What about mods that is a sub or expansion of another mod ? RTR for example gave birth to many sub mods, some are just add ons while some changes many vanilla RTR mod itself, for example :

    Modification Name: Imperator II
    Platform: BI 1.6
Type: Roman Campaign specific base on RTR PE
Modfolder (folder name/overspill if minimal)?: IMP
    Map/Region: European
    Era: Mid-Late Republican Era

TIC will need to submit an entry here.

Not being a follower of historical mods - though I suspect the same would be true even if I were - I find it hard to get my head around all the different versions of RTR and its submods

As to what submods can be included, I guess anything that significantly changes the original mod - do any submods work by having to install the parent mod first and then overwriting/adding to it with the submod? Or are they generally self-contained (such as Gods & Fighting Men)???

If the former then I think they will have to be listed via the link or some distinction made at least on the wiki...

I can add it to the mouseover text for the modfolder.
Great - Its not ideal in terms of getting noticed, but if a dedicated modder wants to make sure his modfolder name in unused he now at least has one way of finding out other than downloading every mod there is. Haveing the Modfolder name viewable on the table itself would serve the cause better to avoid mods haveing the same modfolder. But you cant have everything (if that where the case, a registration like a user name would be nice )

A small note of Modfolder names: Mods which place their modfolder in bi should note the modfolder name as bi\xyz, as you could have another mod in the main folder which also has the name of xyz to run fine alongside.
The problem only comes about if path and name are the same. Seems a bit like lottery to get both of the same, though people do win it from time to time.

    Registering TIC:

Modification Name: RTR VII: The Iberian Conflict
    Platform: BI 1.6
    Type: Historical
    Modfolder:
    TIC/Overwrites Intro Movie (back-up created)
    Map/Region: Yes: Iberia
    Era: Iberia, 238-218BC
    Link: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=524

    Thanks Pal!

    TIC added.

I do not think I will add the parent folder; it will be obvious from the platform where it should go - and then there are those mods which may be able to be run through the other exe anyway.
