Running RTW BI from an Ipod?

OK, I just got a laptop (with Vista, if thats important). I want play RTW BI on it but don't want to slow the performance of the computer be installing it on the laptop. So I took the file "The Creative Assembly" and copied it onto my 80 GB ipod.

So that all worked fine and I plugged the Ipod in the Laptop and put in the CD. It came up with the auto play, but still, the Autoplay had the play buttons grayed out.

What do I do now without having to intstall it on the laptop.

you mean playing rtw on your ipod? fieuw..... that would be impossible i think!!

Are you trying to ure your ipod for a removable drive? The registry on your laptop won't find it there AFIK. I think you're going to have to fresh install it on your ipod as a removable drive from your laptop to get it to work but I wouldn't hold my breath then.

Since you have the CD and all, try not using the autoplay and go to the folder on the iPod directly and click on the executable that plays the game. If you can't do that (I don't have an iPod so I wouldn't know) then it wouldn't work as the computer obtains registry keys through the installation which won't match up with where the game currently is, which is your iPod instead of the computer itself.
