    Default Reasonable Diplomats

Is it possible to make the diplomats more reasonable?
i.e if you have camtured and exterminated the population of most of a factions citys, with them haveing few left, if you ask them for a surender they will never accept it and end up just being eliminated.
And even when they are on their last province with no money/army they will still ask for a ceacefire, but on the condition that you give back all of the provinces that you have taken and half of your wealth.

It's an RTW thing; diplomacy is rubbish.

As Kubelwagen said - the only way to make diplomacy even half good is to use a force diplomacy script and then to set yourself rules to stop its exploitation.

OR you could abuse it and put everyone under your protectorate and leave them with only one city each.

by the way, do protectorates pay you money? if yes, then i'd rather have multiple-city protectorates so i get more money!!!

Protectorates don't pay you money, unless that was part of the conditions of the diplomacy.
So under force diplomacy you could make it so that they did pay you money for so many turns.

Follow the link that Kubelwagen gave, then follow those installation instructions - just make sure you back up your files first in case something goes wrong.

cheers for the link, that thread should probably be stickied
btw, when you make some one your protectorate, what exactly are the terms of that?
i know if give alliance + millitary acces and all that, but once when i accepted it once, i lost all of my money, so do the protected just end up paying most of their money to protectorate what ever each sides finantial standing is or dose it depend on abything in particular?

As long as this is a question thread, can all the swordsmen and spearmen do shieldwall?
