Default A few questions about gunpowder, mostly simple.

I was just curious whether or not it was the game or if a mod was not working correctly.

You get gunpowder, and that is only bombards for a short time, then the you get the full access, atleast arquebus and all the cannons? When do you gain access to muskets?

I've relatively few turns left on my French campaign (With musketeers added to their roster) and have access all the way to basilisks, but no Musketeers or ocean crossing vessels yet. I am about 3 turns past the world is round event.

I remember getting camel gunners not long after discovering gunpowder with the Moors. Can someone englighten me?
If the wait for them is so incredible I might skip picking Russia for my next campaign, as they seem to come so late that they aren't even needed, though in custom battles they dominate.

That sounds like there's something wrong with the mod, in vanilla you can get muskets for the eligible factions as soon as you have the last barracks in a city. And of course that doesn't include the French, so it definitely seems like a mod problem.

Hmm, that is odd due to the rest of the extra units the mod adds are available. Oh well, I just hope the Cossacks will be there because they are a base game unit.

Well you get musket troops when you have the militia barracks that can train them, as soon as you get the gunpowder event you can train all these units you just need the proper facilities. Same with Caravels you just need the dockyard that becomes available when the world is round event appears. It seems like there is a mod problem with your game

There could be something wrong with the mod but I would double check to see if all the appropraite buildings are constructed.

I was using the retrofit, with the grand unit addon, but I've since stopped and just began a new campaign with Lands to Conquer Gold.

It had to of been the mod.
