Bostra & wiered things
Hi, I've noticed some wiered things on EB, this:
I conquered Bostra with the baktrians from the ptolemaioi. After two or three turns, I was forced to abandon the city for help another settlement, and I destroyed all the buildings. The next turn was conquered by the sabeans (two units that were left there for about 4 or 5 turns very far from their native lands) and then I thought that I would reconquer'it to obtain more money. Then, (after gaining only 7 mnai) I abandoned the city another time and it rebelled of saba. Until here anything strange, but in the same turn rebelled ptolemaioi.
I thought that only the settlements can rebel slave, or of the region faction, not of two different factions.
The second is still more misterious. I assasinated a Seleucid general (with an assassin of 8 stars). The next turn, appeared another seleucid general in the same army, I killed him another time, the next turn ANOTHER general appeared in the same army and I was able to murder him also. But the 4º time, the general that appeared only gave me 19 % of success, and I decided not to try it. The three times that I assasined them, the % was 95. I don't know if each time the seleucids send a general to the army, or that it was a bug.
And now two bugs related to the client rulers:
When in a uprise the client ruler was murdered, I was not able to see the city, only when I move a army out. The settlement was still on my power. The problem resolved when I destroyed the type IV government and rebuild it.
In winter, with a Client Ruler you can't attack the army that is besieging you.

Re: Bostra & wiered things
1- It is impossible for a town to rebel to two different nations. Are you sure the Ptolemaioi didn't just conquer it? Or was the city upgraded between the two rebellions. That can change who it rebels to.
2- When the AI is low on generals the game engine will 'promote' captains to family member status, even without an event warrenting a 'man of the hour' event. This is hardcoding that was added so the AI is more difficult to defeat through assassination.
3- This one is actually an unfixable RTW bug and doesn't have anything to do with client rulers. Sometimes when a general dies within a city, you will loose sight of the city even if there are many other things within the city.
4- Known issue. You can manually alter the EDCT, if you'd like, to reduce the penalty to whatever level you see fit...

Wasnt there a mini-fix that was supposed to allow client rulers to be able to sally atleast a bit? For me it does not seem to work period, they still have -100% movement. -Leon

Re: Bostra & wiered things
Thanks. The incident of Bostra its very strange, the city didnt upgrade, and with a diplomat I viewed that the two armies (the sabean and the ptolemaioi) have at least two units of Freed Slaves, that only appear when a city rebel. The city haven't got walls, so it is possible that was conquered.

Re: Bostra & wiered things
Could have also been bribed. That would switch ownership instantaniously and spawn 'peasant' units as well.

That, and handing over a city through diplomacy also spawns freed slaves.

Re: Bostra & wiered things
Mmm, yes, I believe it was bribed by the Sabeans. The seleucids bribed me a city with troops and fairly big, so its very plausible that it was bribing.
