Default Changing to 0.5ypt by hand

    Hi!

Can someone tell me all the files I have to change to make SS5.1 Late campaign from 1.0ypt to 0.5ypt?

Go to your Medieval II folder and into the stainless steel mod and then the regular old place where descr_strat appears. It'll probably be

    C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Stainless_Steel\data\world\maps\campaign\custom\Late_Era_Campaign

Open up descr_strat. Change the timescale from 1.00 to .50.

    Yeah, I know that.
My post wasn't clear enough, I'm sorry.

I know about changing timescale in descr_strat.
But if you do so, all events will be messed up.
So what i wanted to know is what files (all the files) I have to change that events and the whole campaign run in a proper way.

So you're saying you want to change the events so that everything happens on the same turn as before? If you mean on the same DATE then it would still run on the same date. If you want it to be on the same TURN, then you'll have to go the descr_events in the same folder.

    You see this for example?

    ; ------------ CORE GAME EVENT --------------
    ;event historic mongols_invasion_warn
    ;date 2

    ;event earthquake earthquake_aleppo
    ;date 2
    ;position 319, 90

See those dates? They tell you on what turn the event would arrive if the game were still on a 2.00 timescale. Since it's already a 1.00 timescale, that would mean the earthquake and the Mongol invasion warning should effectively come on turn 4. If you go to a .5 timescale, the warning would come on turn 8. To make it come on turn 4 again, just divide EVERY single date value by half.

I believe that should do it.

Oh. I allways thought that events occur on specific turns, not on specific dates.
If you're right I just have to edit the timescale and every evennt happens on its right date. Cool.
    Thank you verry much!

Personally what i did to keep the units/buildings/cities in the right time period, i doubled the population needed for each city/castle to be upgraded. it was a simple solution that solved all my concerns personally. Also much easier than changing every little detail. (in the early campaign you might want to x3 the pop)
