Default Canada & United States; Brothers in arms

    http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.p...w&pageId=57228

So what do you think? Stepping stones to the new, "North American Union" Or just a friendly pack to help each other out when al qaeda or another katrina hit?

I just hope they won't mistake me as a terrorist when I go for a hike in the mountains armed.

There already has been a very long period of cooperation between Canada and the USA.

The Princess Pats etc. have done some heavy fighting in Afghanistan.

    Good idea IMHO.

Canada has its own legal and governmental system and is an indepent state and a good neighbor so canada will never be the '51st State'. puerto rica almost became the 51st State, but it gets more Federal benefits being a territory rather than a State.

Sorry your source is a way out there looney right wing "news" site that has made outlandish claims including following up with a story started on a radio show about the amero coin "given to them by a secret informant". The coin was created by a guy who creates coin collectables and sells them....nothing to see here. The very fact they are trying to pawn Reagan merchandise off on their website is an insult to a great President.

Well, canadian and many other intelligence agencies and governments around the world including many Muslim nations have all been cooperating together for years to combat the Radical Islamists.

Immeadiately sfter 9-11, the Canadian authorities monitored nearly every phone call and bank transaction in the country, and got records of these going back some time.

    Where have you been??

Ever here of NORAD?? The North American Air Defense Command?? Been around for 40 years or so.

Heck, the Canadians even produced their own excellent version of the old (by now of course) F-86 Saber Jet abnd etc. Canada is and has been a member of NATO. heck Germany even has troops fighting in Afghanistan, fighting, engaging in combat.

Canada should simply separate into two distinct countries- Quebec, and Canuckistan.

The precedent is set, so why not....

Anyway, here's another perspective on the issue:

Actually, Canada should split into 5 nations:

    Quebec
Fishermen United (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland)
    Arctic (Northwest territories, Iqaluit, Yukon)
    Canuckistan (Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta)
    Soviet Canuckistan (B.C)

If you are wondering why there are 2 Canuckistans, its because B.C is full of socialists.
Everything the State says is a lie, everything it has is stolen.

State is the name of coldest of all the cold monsters. Coldly it lies; and this slips from its mouth: "I, the state, am the people"

Kebec and Canuckistan!!! Brilliant idea!!! I'll vote for you as World Leader!!!

Either one is better than Michigander or Michiganian anyway. Detroiter is at least easier to say and shorter to write.

if anything quebec is the part which is backwards enough to justify adding istan on the end of it's name.

Let's just hope they were fascist communist kittens who were on their way to international fascist communist fair.

If this is true I know exactly why it was done from a Canadian perspective. Several times the Canadian military has tried to send its specialized forces (we have a disaster relief force that is probably the best in the world known as DART) to help with American disasters. They have been turned down several times, but I do think they got onto a ship that was aiding the Katrina victims. Obviously the CF want to step up there humanitarian aid programs and this sort of deal would allow us to help in US disasters. Not to mention its not that bad to have the american military ready to help us in times of need. The last thing it is is a step towards the NAU. Heck you might as well say the joint American/Canadian border patrol program is a step towards a NAU.

I wonder how good relations would be if Canada openly defied the US?

You mean like they did with Iraq, Cuba etc? We dont 'own' Canada you know nor do we control them but the people of both view each other pretty damn favorably. The amount of trade that goes on between the two countries also ensure it would never come to that besides *cough* Canada is the number 1 oil supplier to the US....

It already has with the Iraq war and Star Wars (I believe its called).

Canada is on its way up with its huge quantity of untapped riches. When the oil from the mid east burns up, expect crude to be the replacement. As well, we will see how the issue of Water sales turns up. Hopefully Canada will make a stand for once.

Though recent things such as the domination of U.S companies has really destroyed Canada's individuality. So much for the idea of "unity", it sure showed typical U.S tactics when they stopped importing beef. Coincidentally right after Canada's decision not to go to Iraq.
