Default Templar Guilds Unites too cheap?

So I was just looking through units stats, costs, and upkeep and what not and I have noticed two things. First in the early era the units tend to be cheaper upkeep wise compaired to the late era game units. Second with the Templar units in both eras for mounted and unmounted units they are both around 200 for upkeep and their stats are much more better than a lot of normal units that cost twice as much. Maybe they should be doubled price for upkeep for 6.0. What do you guys think?

i noticed it as well, and i've been exploiting it by turning my sicilian army into all hospitaller (both dism. and mounted) army. Maybe a little bit increase in upkeep is ok.
On your PC, the units seem to perform quite poorly. I think there might be something nearby the PC that is causing this problem for you. You may need a mirror to find out what it is.

It's just you wouldnt be really spending any money for your military which isn't that cool because you end up with a bank load and your goveners get bad traits because of it... Only bad thing is that you can only restock your units where you have those guilds so say you are france and wanting to take over Egypt and you dont have a guild there your going to have to use other units or send lots of ships eastward bound....

dear strife, i have over 20 (out of 45) provinces with st john's minor (some major or was it headquarters) chapter houses spread out throughout the world. A nice benefit of being sicily. maybe the triggering of st john's chapter houses should be reduced, i used to get an offer almost every 3 turns.

It's soo tempting NOT to recruit those units in cities and towns. I have 6 full stacks all consisting of hospitaller units. And my financial status NEVER goes above 10k, i usually give money out as gift when i become too rich to prevent 'bad' traits.

uh, yea, so, i think triggering of such buildings should be reduced somewhat, and the unit upkeep increased.

Well I give out money but not a ton of it. I'm playing as the Eastern Roman Empire so maybe that has a bit too do with it since they are in the prime area for all the wealth.

There has been talk of limiting the recruitment of order knights to prevent the building of armies with a disproportionate amount of order knights. Will have to wait to see if it has been implemented in SS6.0 or someone else will mod it.

Really shouldn't be more than 1/2 of each in a garrison or army.

I think it's fine-it simulates some volunteers who are willing to fight for not to much cash, to redeem themselves from a sin of some kind. Also, they are supposed to be holy so as long as they think its a Godly, just cause I suppose they wouldn't want much pay. Plus, it's a nice bonus/reward for getting a chapter house in your city.
