I would like to add a Christian temple but when I do it crashes could someone help me?
I have deleted one barrack building which I don't need and have edited files export_descr_buildings, descr_settlement_plan.

...I'm probably going to regret asking this, but WTF do you want a Christian temple in a game quite firmly set in the BC's for ? The end date's 14AD or so, at which point a certain Nazarethian carpenter's brat was still busy helping with the family business...
Don't worry I you are not going to regret it![]()
I edited EB to start in 70 AD and I want to see how religion works on ALX.exe
Oh. Well, in any case, I rather suspect that "unnecessary" barracks building was, in fact, not so, but rather quite necessary for somethingorother.
...why not just use the temple complexes anyway ? That's what they're for, just change the effects and descriptions to your liking.
Not meaning to sound pedantic, but I doubt anybody was building Christian temples in 70 AD either.
That is historically accurate, referring to buildings. It was only people's houses, in fact I think the Book of Acts was written around that time, and is probably the best sources on early Christianity. (Unfortunately there are fewer words in English than either French or Chinese, in those languages there is a distinctive word for every meaning, for instance pièces de théâtre (act as referring to theater) and agis (act as referring to action) and that's the only example I'll give since it's relevant. I am rather slow to find better examples even though it's an impression I had in a long time. As I was writing, many words in English unfortunately have multiple meanings, and that doesn't happen as frequently at all in French, and rarely in Chinese) The "act" in Book of Acts refers to the Acts/Actions of the Apostles.
Though to give the actual definition, each Christian is a temple of the Holy Spirit. Even church (ecclesias in original language) referred to the collection of believers in a town, and not to the building. In other words, contrary to Greek and most religions, the worship of Christianity does not come from venerating a building or a statue (though churches and cathedrals are certainly pretty and some are really artistic achievements, and in some churches there is one form of cross or another, but notice there never is a statue of Jesus), but in the worship of God Himself, the building and even the cross that some wear around their neck are accessory to the faith and not essential. Compare that with Greek religion, which derived its essence from temples and statues. And contrary to religions like Islam, Christianity is not bound by geography, i.e. Christians can pray whenever wherever and in whichever direction, and it's never about land but people, regardless of ethnicity and national origin (thus said in comparison with "state religions" like Shinto, or extensive-attempt-to-force-political-correctness).
So, yes there were plenty of Christian temples being built in 70AD, just not made of stone. Actual buildings though, probably didn't happen till after Constantine.
All building complex slots are taken up. You can't make a new one. If you want a change, you'll have to redo a current one.
Teleklos Archelaou:
I know that and I have replaced the barracks_Y with that temple (and have deleted all connections with barracks_Y in all other files so it's not crashing because of barracks_Y deleting) I don't know if I have done something wrong in the descr_settlement_plan file.
Well I'm gonna do that but I will have to change the trait system also thanx
