Default Help! Persistent arrows in 5.1 slowing down machine.

    Hey guys,

I don't know if this is a bug, an issue that's been fixed or a setting I'm just not seeing, but I have a problem. In custom battles, arrows never disappear. This way, towards the end of a battle I have entire areas covered with arrows. The computer can't render so many objects and slows down to a crawl.

Is there a way to have arrows not persist? I've never had this happen before I installed stainless steel, which is why I suspect it may be related.

Yeah, I get this too...and my PC can hardly run RomeTW on full graphics so its suffering as a result. However I thought that the permanent arrows were supposed to do that in SS...?

It was a feature brought in earlier - its in the descr_effect_impacts.txt file. Backup and try the attached.

To err is human, but to really foul things up you need a computer.

Just remember everyone, persistant arrows slowing your computer to a crawl is a feature, not a bug. Sounds like something that CA would say.....

A bug is something that does not work as it should, arrows are fine on my pc, and alot others. If the pc cannot handle the graphics thats a feature or hardware requirement, your choice. Its easy to fix (see above) for those who don't want it, or pcs cannot cope. Anyway only trying to help Lamprey out.

Doesn't really matter whether it's a feature or a bug - as long as there's a way around it Thanks Quark!

Quite realistic, but I fear that any personal computer can handle it without a great drop of fps...
