Default Situations with no "right" thing to do...

I was thinking a bit about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the wrongs caused by it. In my opinion it was a very bad idea to create the state of Israel in the Holy Lands when they had been ruled by Muslims for hundreds of years. However, to immediately abolish the Israeli government and give the power back to the Muslim countries (who now have a massive grudge against Israelis) would definitely be the WRONG thing to do. If we sit around, more injustice, fighting and extremism will go on. What can we do?

Can anyone else think of any no hope situations like this in the world, and give causes?

You know that conflict want so far for sooo long, it difficult to say. Religious and demography are in cause here. Maybe a common enemy could stop it for moment...
I believe that to meet the challenges of our times, human beings will have to develop a greater sense of universal responsibility. Each of us must learn to work not just for oneself, one's own family or nation, but for the benefit of all humankind. Universal responsibility is the key to human survival. It is the best foundation for world peace.

I think it's good that Israel has formed. By biblical right, the land belongs to the Jewish people. The Bible even prophesied that the Jews would claim their old lands again. The Bible has a perfect track record when it comes to prophesies, there are also many more to come, but all of the Messianic prophesies have been fulfilled already.

I think the Palestinians should have a small state or country though, it's only fair.

Please, please, tell me you are kidding... Who the hell cares about what the Bible thinks? It is an old text written by men like you and me, who just happened to be power hungry and or delusional. I hope this post was a joke, as if it was not, it must be considered totally and utterly foolish.

European Jews are not Turks, to say so is ridiculous. Its like saying Mohammed was Norweigan.

Actually a lot of Jews are descendants of the Khazars, a Turkic tribe that adopted Judaism. They lived north of the Black Sea.

Yes, but a good percentage of them intermarried with the Slavs and Western Europeans enough over the years that calling them Turks is just wrong.

And those Khazar Jews only make up a small percentage of the Jewish total, 80% are from Western Europe (after being exiled from the Levant after killing too many Legionairres).

The Khazars are as Turkish as the Magyars, and we don't consider ourselves "Turks".

I am disappointed in this thread. I expected to get some intellectual debate and insightfulness; instead, I get people who think the Bible is superior to all the other equally (un)believable religions in our society, disturbing jokes (at least I hope they are jokes) that we should bomb everything, and racist cut-and-run mono-line posts. C'mon people, isn't there ANYONE even slightly intelligent out there?

Ban Islam, or ban Jews? The one not banned would become the official state religion.

...Such a tough choice... I don't think there is a right answer.

there is an easy answer-- but the arabs simply arent willing to negotiate because they are both uneducated and desperate.

the jews would be exterminated if they allowed the arabs to rule, they would be wiped out more completely than any german ever managed, and I think thats the key difference.

the jews show over and over and over again, supreme restraint, supreme humanity, and absolute mercy, and they are rewarded with violence from the arabs; and they must eventually whip the disobedient dog, because it is so maddened by its faith and its self induced suffering that it can barely think any more like a human being.

the jews are forced like every other time , like the first war to make the dog yeild just like in a pack, since they refuse to kill the mad creature( out of supreme goodness and humanity) (both dogs mind you in the example, when two dogs fight one must yeild or die, this conflict is like this, except that the jew is like the healthy bigger dog, who constantly beats the out of the insane mangy dog-- but never kills him because he loves the crazy sonofa)

if the arabs had the control the jews have now ; the jews would be in stacks , dessicated corpses an offering to the dark god of ignorance, miles and miles and miles.

    Rubbish.

I don't pretend all of this is true, but it at least shows there are two sides to the story, the absolute opposite of what you were saying. In the end, the land was Arabic for hundreds of years, whereas the land had not been Jewish for thousands. Of course they want the land back, Muslims are human beings.
