Default Question about the vanilla RTW sea mod

I have a question, since the sea has reflections in EB, does installing the mini-mod that makes the sea like in the original RTW improve the speed of EB? And also, once I install that mini-mod, is there a way of reverting back to the "EB look" of the sea, with reflections?

No. FYI, the EB sea graphics do not cause any lag whatsover.

Yes. Just archive the relevant file and you could always just revert back. In this case that file is the descr_battle_map_lighting_and_fog_control.txt file located in the EB/data folder. Like i said however, if the only reason you would be reverting back to Vanilla seas is for speed. Then you will be disappointed as you will not be gaining any. Not to mention losing out on some nice sea graphics that are not causing your system any lag whatsoever.

Edit: Pardon....I was thinking of the Goth47 files that allowed you to change back and forth between different settings thru the descr_battle_map_lighting_and_fog_control.txt file. Which is why i mentioned it. Of course the download your referring to is different as it's a mod pak. My mistake. However, i still don't think you'll see much improvement, if any. BTW, If you want EB's sea graphics back after installing the vanilla graphics, all you have to do is delete the mod_1.pak file in the packs folder.

A lot of people think it's the new sea graphics that is causing the lag on their campaign map, which might be warranted seeing as how they're constantly moving and such, but the file size of the new sea is not that much different than that of the vanilla sea graphics. Most of the lag you get from the campaign map comes from the very large script, which is why if you move around the campaign map without clicking the show me how button, the map isn't very "laggy" at all.
