    Default Miracles of the prophet(saw)

The splitting of the moon: Narrated Anas, that the Makkans requested Allah's Messenger to show them a miracle, so he showed the splitting of the moon. ( See Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.4, Hadith No. 831).
The crying of the stem of the date-palm tree in the Prophet's Mosque: Narrated Ibn 'Umar, that the prophet used to deliver his Khutba (religious talk) while leaning against a trunk of a date-palm tree. When he had the pulpit made and used it instead, the trunk started crying and the Prophet went to it, rubbing his hand over it (to stop its crying). (See Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.4, Hadith No. 783).

The flowing of the water from among the fingers of Allah's Messenger (See Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.4, Hadith No. 779.)
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah: I was with the Prophet and the time for the 'Asr prayer became due. We had no water with us except a little which was put in a vessel and was brought to perform ablution. The blessing is from Allah." I saw the water gushing out from his fingers. So the people performed the ablution and drank, and I tried to drink more of that water (beyond my thirst and capacity), for I knew that it was a blessing. The subnarrator said : I asked Jabir, "How many persons were you then?" He replied, " "We were one thousand four hundred men." (Salim said: Jabir said - 1500). (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.7, Hadith No. 543.)

The Prophet's meals used to glorify Allah while he ate, and this glorification was heard by the companions of the Prophet (See Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.4, Hadith No. 779).

Stones used to greet the Prophet whenever he passed by through the lanes of Makka.

The throwing out of a dead body of a Christian by the earth: Narrated Anas: There was a Christian who embraced Islam and read Surat Al-Baqarah and Al-Imran and he used to write the revelation for the Prophet. Later on he reverted to Christianity and used to say, "Muhammad knows nothing but what I have written for him." Then Allah caused him to die and the people buried him but in the morning they found that the earth had thrown out his body. They said, "This is the deed of Muhammad and his companions. They have opened the grave of our companion and took his body out because he ran away from them," so they again dug the grave deeper for him, but in the morning they again found that the earth had thrown the body out. They said, "This is a deed of Muhammad and his companions." So they dug a third grave for him as deep as they could, but in the morning they found that the earth had thrown the body out. Then they believed what had befallen him, was not done by mankind, and they had to leave the body on the ground. (See Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.4, Hadith No. 814).

The screening (shading) by the trees, for the Prophet to answer the call of nature.

The rising of water in the well at Hudaibiya after it had dried. (See Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.4 Hadith No. 777).

The increase in the amount of dates in the garden of Jabir bin 'Abdullah after the prophet went round the heaps of dates and invoked Allah for His Blessings. (See Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol. 4, Hadith No. 780).
Speaking of the wolf: I has been written that a wolf also spoke to one of the companions of the Prophet near Al-Madina, as narrated in Musnad of Ahmad, Vol.3, Page 83, Musnad Abi Saeed Al-Khudri. Narrated Abi Saeed Al-Khudri: (While a shepherd was amongst his sheep) suddenly a wolf attacked a sheep and took it away. The shepherd chased the wolf and back the sheep. The wolf sat on its tail and addressed the shepherd saying: "Be afraid of Allah, you have taken the provision from me which Allah gave me." The shepherd said: "What an amazing thing! A wolf sitting on its tail speaks to me in the language of a human being." The wolf said: "Shall I tell you something more amazing than this? There is Muhammad (the Messenger of Allah) in Yathrib (Al-Madina) informing the people about the news of the past." Then the shepherd proceeded (towards Al-Madina) driving his sheep till he entered Al- Madina (city) , cornered his sheep to one side and came to Allah's Messenger (Muhammad ) and informed the whole story. Allah's Messenger ordered for the proclamation of a congregational prayer , then he came out and asked the shepherd to inform the people (about his story) and he informed them. Then Allah's Messenger said: "He (the shepherd) has spoken the truth . By Him (Allah) in Whose Hands my soul is, the Day of Resurrection will not be established till beasts of prey speak to the human beings, and the stick lash and the shoe-laces of a person speaks to him and his thigh informs him about his family as to what happened to them after him. {Musnad Ahmad, Vol. 3, Page 83. Musnad Abi Saeed Al-Khudri}.

I tire of this glorified novel. The characters are 2d and the plot is contradictory and irrelevant.

I also despise preachers. You have a faith, cool, I'm happy for you. Keep it to your ****ing self.

At least respect him for trying. I don't believe he's right, but I think it's good that he is trying to be the best that he can be right now.

No, Lucius, it's exactly the same reason why I don't respect you for trying, and I come from a Christian country. I'm perfectly happy for you to have a faith, it's your decision. Don't force it upon others. Not only does it destroy freedom of choice, you do no favours for your chosen religion. It just comes across as annoying, pushy and arrogant. If people wish to 'find Christ', they'll do so on their own and in their own time.

That's why I hate every bloody thread you cough up about 'Saving yourself by accepting jesus christ as your savior'. And learn to spell english the english way. It's saviour.

    You respect him for proselytizing?

Oh wait, you do that too. You should form a club. Call us at night, tell us we're all godless heathens. You know, nice religious things.

Welcome back to Total War Center, Mansa Musa.
I see what you're saying, LJ, but the thing is this is a very poor method to earn converts. Virtually the only people who are going to see any of this are going to be secure enough in their own beliefs that it makes no mark on them besides possibly annoying them against that religion. In my opinion, the best way is to simply live the best way you can according to your ideals. In my experience, people are drawn to that, especially if they feel the need to change or reaffirm their beliefs. Shouting on street corners simply tends to make people cover their ears.

Hmmm... this is why I don't trust Hadith. Also, people in the Middle East seem to have an obsession with bodies being rejected from the ground.

Seda, you failed the pledge in your sig

But I agree completely with what you're saying. Preachers monger nothing but resentment towards their faith -- how many Jehovah's Witness converts do you get?! Not many, I can tell you...they've just become a laughing stock to be honest. Even most 'Christians' aren't practising Christians, and people come to new religions because they need to, not because some guy shoves a leaflet in their face.

Oh, no, I have violated no pledge. Y'see, I just stated my opinion: If someone wants to bash it, I'm not going to argue with him.

I have got some more miracles of Master Muhammad the Great may the whole world be sacrificed for him:

(Bukhari - Book of Medicine Volume 7, Book 71, Number 641,642)
    Narrated 'Aisha:
The Prophet used to say to the patient, "In the name of the God, the earth of our land and the saliva of some of us cure our patient."
He and his followers had magical spit with healing power!

(Bukhari - Book of Bath, Volume 1, Book 5, Number 268)
    Narrated Qatada:
The Prophet had the (sexual) power of 30 (men)
Wow, he obviously had the ultimate miracle anyone can ever imagine. Even resurrecting people from the dead and parting the sea cannot compare to that!

PS: When I feel bored I like to go through hadiths to look for amusements.

In this day in age, I think it be best if everyone stoped evangelizaing. The whole "have you been saved by Jesus" or "are you brainwashed" needs to stop. If someone wants to get into about such and such a religion or philosophy they can ask the local church/mosque/Synagauge/Thinktank what is this, how does it make sense to you, etc. Does everyone good.

    I get excited easy.

The Prophet's meals used to glorify Allah while he ate
WTF does this have to do with anything?

The Prophet's only miracle is the Quran. Anything else in his life was done without his instigation and by the total will of God.

Moses turning a staff into a snake is a miracle, an act of God done through him, his action, and his desire. For Muhammad, any perceived miracle was done for him and never by him - in short they are the blessings of God, but not Muhammad's miracles.

That said, none of the above is true or half-true. He was never given any power beyond the Word of God and his blessing, and degrading folklore about his character is blasphemy.

Someday, Mansa, I will convert you to Islam.

Miracles are the least important things about Islam. To believe after seeing miracles rather than reflection and reason results in hollowish faith.

    Welcome back Mansa...damnit you're banned.

I'm not a big believer of miracles and after seeing documentaries about how the miracles of Moses and Jesus were anything but miracles gives me enough disbelief. Still a few years ago I remember reading an article from western media that a few scientists found a crack on the moon that goes around the whole moon. Found it interesting but still not quite sure. The Islamic prophet was a much more human one then the former ones. I really doubt that he'd go around healing this and that and transforming this and that.
