Default timescale not compatibel with character age?

So I changed the timescale back and forth testing 1 year/turn 2 year turn and 0.5 year per turn. But it seemed to me like the characters didīt follow this. Instead they whaterever I choosed seemed to age according to 0.5 year per turn. Is this a bug, me seeing wrong or anything else?

    Help appreciated. Cheers!

It not a bug that's just the way it is.

So If I want to play a game where the characters follow the timeline I should play a 0.5 year/turn game?

As a further note, it seems most things are adapted for playing 0.5 years/turn.

Make me ask what timescale you guys play at?

    .

It's probably because it is the same engine as in Rome. It had timescale of 0.5

I personally am playing with 1.5 timescale.

And I suppose you canīt change that engine a.k.a itīs hardcoded?

1.5 seems nice as it would play out well with the winter/summer appearing. Only disadvantage, from a realistic point of view, is your characters will live 3 times longer in game years

I believe it is hardcoded, yes. I believe the aging is as when winter appears, everybody ages a year. If you could somehow script it so that winter never appears, then they would theoretically live forever.

The scripting idea isnīt that bad. If itīs possible that is, I know nothing about modding in TWII

...i don't understand the problem...just get one of the many mods that are available around here and you'll have the solution: Characters will follow turns, there are mods with 1,5/turn or 1/turn or 0.5/turn or even 0.3/turn!!! And you don't have to mod anything just to install...personally i like to play 0,5/turn and i get onli mods that have this timescale...(Brocken crescent, kingdoms grandcampaign, darthmod 1.4, SS 5.1...)
30BC: Ottaviano Augusto becomes the first Imperator, in his 44 years of principate he will bring to the empire peace and prosperity!
70AD: Vespasiano is the winner of first great empire's civil war, rebuilding Roman world after the Nero's dark ages.
98AD: Traiano becomes imperator after that the senateman Nerva adopted him,he will start a gold age for the empire getting it to biggest extension!! 117AD-180AD Adriano,Antonino Pio and Marco Aurelio administrate the empire during his richest and most pacific period, with their good administration Rome lives its golden age.
193AD: Settimio Severo wins the civil war started after the death of Commodo starting the Severan dinasty, his heirs will not be as good as him. 252-285AD Rome lives the peak of III century's crisis, onli the emperor Aureliano will be able to reunite the empire breacked in 3 parts and the great reformer Diocleziano will give to Rome militar, politic and social cohesion after decades of caos. 325AD:Costantino rules alone over the empire and christianity is for the first time accepted by the imperial government.

I see, so there are mods handling all various kinds of "bug" and/or other irritating things as well as giving more joy of play. Being new to the TW-series I didnīt knew such things existed.

Is there any place you can find info on all those various mods that exist? Are there any particular people play, a grand mod of all solutions so to speak? Or many mini/medium mods out there?

And just to make clear. You mean in these mods the characters follow the timescale? Meaning if two years goes by, so does the characters get 2 years older? Iīm used to switching from turns to years you know. Should be the same thing although.
