    Default Diplomatic Cheat

Anyone knows any cheat that can force AI to accept a diplomatic suggestion? Just to make peace when an enemy faction is losing badly and refuses any peace proposal, and keep bothering me with ricoluos offensives...

Well, there's that force diplomacy mod lying somewhere around here. It basically forces the other faction to do whatever you ask of them. Though if you ask for an alliance with a faction that hates you, they'll probably break that alliance very soon.

There is the force_diplomacy (accept/decline/off) cheat (don't know if it works)

you can find more cheats here:
    - for Rome: Total War here
    - for Rome: Total War - Barbarian Invasion here

That cheat was disabled in an early patch for RTW (1.1 or 1.2).

In general, there isn't any way to make diplomacy work the way you'd like it to. I really wish that it worked, as it would be nice to be able to force Numidia to be a protectorate and deal with the desert (for example).

I've had neighboring factions which I have been at war with for 50+ years and we haven't fought a battle in 20+ years. I still can't get a ceasefire with them (I even tried cheating in 500,000 denarii to see if some large amount of money would do it, but that didn't help...). The best you can do is build alliances early in the game and stick with your allies. The AI will eventually stab you in the back, so watch out!

As Jamey posted it was disabled by one of the patches.

Meh, apparently there hasn't been a force diplomacy mod made for RTR. But try the method given in this topic. http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=85442

Make sure to read the last post of the topic as well or it doesn't seem to work. I haven't tried it myself though, but it looks easy enough to work out.
