why can't i change the preferences and take the banners out so when i take a screenshot they don't appear but why does everytime i change them and press save it comes up with;
"cannot create the C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\preferences\preferences.txt file
make sure that the path and file name are correct."
is this related to RS or a windows vista problem
please redirect me if i'm in the wrong place.

well go to properties and then select security. then press edit and choose admin and/or users. while it is selected tick all the boxes in the column of 'allow' below. to finish press apply.
this will give you control to do what you want with this file that vista didn't let you do before.
