    Default In the British legal system, what is an SC?

    I have no clue where to post this and get an intelligent response, sorry. I know what a QC is, I have never heard of an SC?

    AFAIK Senior Counsel, which isn't used in Britain per se, but is in commonwealth countries which don't have the Queen as the head of state.

    QC is Queen's Counsel, a senior barrister
