    Default Family Trees in 6.0

I realize that this has probably been brought up before, but will there be fixes to the family tree issues, such as the whole marrying a foreign noble destroys your entire family tree. This has always annoyed me, i realize its probably a largely unmoddable issue, but will there be any relief as to this issue? Also will you be able to take over a faction by marriage alliance to faction heir? Will there be any major improvements to the vassal system?

Well if they become king all you see is the original king and queen of the faction from which you got the noble and none of the rest of the family tree.

Yeah I know but I mean I don’t see why the entire family tree disappears, I mean it’s not like all your nobles die, and it’s not like the new king isn’t in your family, he is related by marriage to a daughter, I just don’t see why your entire family tree has to disappear, because a foreign guy became king, its like the game punishes you for trying to be creative, I’ve always wanted to do something like be HRE, kill all my original nobles and have a completely Irish family tree, or vice versa.

If this cannot be fixed then would it at least be possible to mod the game so that when, for instance, an Irish noble is incorporated into a HRE family his sons would have Irish names, that way you would have more diverse naming in your family trees?

Same thing happened to me in my last campaign (Darth Ages, France)
I was having a blast Creating my superbreed of every conceivable European noble bloodline (well, that was the masterplan, anyway )
Then all of a sudden, in 13something, *Poof* and the entire familytree is gone.. Just 2 dead old danes staring at me. It killed the fun for me, and i found SS.
Luckily this time around, playing as Norway, I've made a point of keeping it in the family

I don't really see what this proves because William Wallace is not your king, thus your family tree is intact, if Wallace becomes king your family tree will disappear...

Well you do exemplify the point that i am trying to make, i mean wouldn't it be cool if William Wallace could become the Emperor of the Byzantine Empire and you be able to actually see your family tree at the same time!

I agree 100% this should be fixed, I have never seen it because my King, Emperor or whatever has always been from "in the family" but it should be fixed if this is the case.

Ive never actually seen Wallace though I think I will in my Norway Campaign because Scotland has 1 province (Edinburgh) So Scotland does need him, so all I need to do is keep them alive...

As shown in the picture above I married him to one of my princesses. Next time I know he comes around turn 45 so Ill make sure to have a princess up there because it took her forever by boat to reach scotland from where my empire is. He wont be so old when I have him...
