    Hi,

I think that your system might be a little bit of an overkill. It is true that units in the battlefeild need to be supported by reserve units....but the cost of keeping this kind of reserve army in the feild is awefully expensive and I for one wouldn't open my countries coffers to such extravagance. The cheapest and easiest way to keep your forces in the feild replenished is by building a series of forts to the front. This way there is always a train of fresh troops just from training, and troops on there way to training. No one is out in the open at the end of the turn this way. (The AI will almost never hit a fort when it is with in distance of another fort) It is also a great way to keep the closest city economy rolling. If your army has been dwindled down to the point where it is almost anhialated you probably need more training in open feild warefare....lol, But as nice as this auxillia system looks, it is overkill to be sure.

Click on the link and you can do the the page and download it. The way you use it is you enter the information of your named legion and auxilia legions commanders, cities they were recurited and year they were recurited. It helps organize the whole thing.

That is the reason I wrote a paragraph about overkill near the bottom. To control the amount of troops you are using in a campaign. If you use 4 armies which is equal to 16 legions. Yes that is over kill. But when you invading a place like the middle east then it does not become over kill. Those horse archers and cataphracts will slaughter your armies. Better be prepared. Remember if you leave your legions roaming the deserts. The units lose men and before you know it. Your deep in enemy land completly cut off from your cities. And I have clearly said that its all about player preferences. This is how I play. Others may use this system but not to the exact way they use it to thier liking and to make it more of a challenge.

I love over kill. The hole system works like a well oiled machine for me. So I don't see a problem. If it costs money what er I don't care on my troops a wining me new places to add to my ever goring unstoppable Empire.

Right, you'll want to be extracting the file from the rar file first.
The rar file is like a briefcase, it just holds other files, although not everyone has the software to open rar files - century, can you reupload the file in a zipped folder instead?

WEll I usually exterminate every city I come across. And put very high taxes on my empire. So I'll have plenty of money. No I'm just kidding. I don't spend alot of money.

    extermination...

Actually - in my current game, it seems the only way of not having a city immediately revolt after conquering it. Unless I want to train 19 units of light infantry or park my legion in the city for a few years.

Usually enslaving does the trick. I rarely exterminate.

what about garrisons? I sometimes use a garrison army that comes into the city right after i conquer it.
