anyone here a fan of Bill Withers? I recently discovered him, and I think he possessed a rare sort of subtle genius in his lyrics. All too often love songs are about sex but this guy made songs about love such as....

Bill Withers is pretty much like the most unfamous famous singer. A lot of his songs are well known, but no one knows anything about him.

yeah, that sounds about right. I found out about bill withers after listening to Michael Jacksons version of ain't no sunshine, he sang it when he was still a little kid.

I would have to agree. Lyrical genius for the most part, he really knows how to make words fit together and flow, epically with the music. I have always known about him but never really thought to learn about him or listen more to his stuff.

I will have to do that though.


Another lyrical genius that has my interest right now is ..you probably know who he is , but Maynard James Keenan.
