Well the roman empire was very foot based and ghenkis khan was a cavalryman so it becomes a matter of tactics. If it was the best roman generaly vs the best mongol leaders then the romans would likely win, simply b ecause of generally more flexible troops.
Let's just hope they were fascist communist kittens who were on their way to international fascist communist fair.
