I was just thinking about it today, who is your favourite movie villain??

Who strikes fear into your soul when they appear on screen?
Whos complete bad-assery do you admire?
Who would you most like to take over the world?

Mine, has gotta be Darth Vader.
I mean c'mon, he has terrible Asthma + fashion sense and still kicks ass.

    So whats yours?

Captain Barbosa, who is then subsequently my favourite hero in the third PotC. I love his voice, his amazing awesomeness, everything.

Luke Skywalker is my favourite villain, he is my son after all; even if he does destroy the Death Star. How more villanous could one man be?

And Sundance, I find your lack of faith disturbing.

My favourite villian would be Big Brother. What could be worse than a villian that knows your every thought, controls every aspect of your life yet whose existence is not even fully known?
    I love you all!

Well, I don't count fantatsy villains since there is a very small chance that something like that would happen (Vader, Sauran, Pale man etc..)

I recently saw No Country for Old Men and Anton Chigurh is the scariest of the bunch. Dude walks around with a bolt gun attached to a can of compressed air and when he kills you he sticks the bolt gun near your head, pulls the trigger and out comes a 6 inch metal spike that pierces your skull and brain.

    Fantasy Villains:
    Dr. Doom

    Vader

Pinhead (always freaked me out as a child)

    Realistic Villains:
Alonzo Harris (Denzel Washington) from Training Day. He wasn't a 'scary' villain and it can be debated whether he was a true villain, but he did really good and makes me wanna be a black corrupt cop with russian's trying to kill me one day.

    Lord Humongus..."Just walk away..."

    Video Game Villains:
Darth Malak (KOTOR) He's got the right image, attitude and haircut for the perfect sith and he does it well.

    The Master (Fallout 1)

Vader is the easy answer (the fact that he just breathed at me from my tv screen in an intimidating manner has nothing to do with it!)

I always rather liked Caster Troy from Face-off (ie, Cage in the beginning and Travolta for the rest of the film).

And, cos I'm badass - Man, from Bambi
    Life, go easy on me

Then I weighed him I said, “Holy ****!” because he weighs 900,000,000,000,000,000 tons. That amazing weight made me say the “S” word.

Darth Vader wins this pants down.

He got a big black suit, everything else is just a bonus

not that ive seen the movie in 10 years, but Rob Roy. Tim Roth was a wonderful villain in that. So effete, yet brutal and calculating.

I've said it before, the best on-screen villain since Hannibal Lector has to be HAS to be Anton Chigurh.

No Country For Old Men showed that insanity doesn't just mean a completely unhinged view of reality but also a perfect view of reality, as we see in Chigurh.

The man would make even the most dauntless of psychiatrists tremble. He thinks people coming across him is fate, and fate determines the coin side that shows, and fate determines the person's call of the coin.

"He's a.... psychopathic killer but so what."

    Great post, Skinna.

Chigurh is like a movie version of Ted Bundy, Gacy, or Dhamer.

Aother freaky villian would be John Smith in Se7n played by Kevin Spacey.

He would be like Bundy, but he turned his... interests into a money-making thing. Becoming a hitman.

Bah. All this talk of curious pyjama wearing freaks (Vader), Bathrobe wearing freaks (Sauron) or latex abusing freaks (Pale man).

We all know that when push comes to shove, It matters not about how crazy you are (Chigurh) or how contrived you get when leading the investigator to catch you (Smith). All that really matters is whether you actually have a hidden volcano lair. With Sharks. And a Cat.
