    Default Norway skins in 6.0

    Are there new norway skins in 6.0 ? Because I am currently working on Norwegain skins and it would be a shame if they get lost.

    PS: Do i need premission is I base my skins on KK's denmark and regular skins ?

    PSS: how do u make ingame screenshots ?

    well to take ingame screens u gotta press printscreen on your keyboard to see the pictures u gotta use a program called fraps

    Why would you need fraps to open screen shots? IIRC the screen shots are saved in the vanilla folder of M2TW.

    They are saved in the fraps folder. Use FRAPS!
    It's redundant to write your username at the end of your post,
    if I wanted to see your name I'd look to the left of my screen.

    Like mentioned earlier, there is absolutely no reason to use the program Fraps for this. The game has its own screenshot method that works with using the Print Screen-button. The files are then saved as TGAs in the folder \Medieval Total War 2\tgas (or whatever you have named the program folder).

    There is - FRAPS allows for bigger resolutions, game always makes them 1024 x 768... Screens are usually done in cinematic editor after saving a replay; do not bother with new unit cards and unit info cards yet - there are people who exceled at doing them... But for preview - the in-game screenies (that are, BTW in Medieval Total War 2\tgas folder) are sufficient.

    In 6.0 there are no new skins for Norway, BUT, they may get some new models, especially if they got (I do not remember their roster) Mailed Knights, Spear Militias, Armored Spearmen and/or Light Swordsmen... Although tying skins to new model is not a big problem altogether.

    Any way - I, and KK most probably as well, will appreciate new skins, as long as they are good... And yes - KK usually gives permissions to edit things from SS for SS.

    Awaiting for preview!

    of course you have permission to reskin those units.
    Also looking forward to a preview.

    And why don't you just press printscreen to make a screenshot?
    The M2 screenshots will be saved as tga files in Medieval II Total War/tgas.
    You only need a program like irfanview to open them.

    All I have ever done it press printscreen and than open up paint, paste it and save it. It's easy. Everyone has paint.

    But then you got 2 copies of screenies! Game saves a screenie for EVERY press of Print Screen in tgas directory.

    found the directory and the screens. I just finished work on shields for the norse warclerrics (which i made playable for norway). Next thing is skins for peasants and leather armored units. But eventualy I will replace all skins since the vanilla ones are ugly compared to KK's skins.

    Are you final with colours? I'd like to see them in more bloody red, not anyhow pale or bleak:

    This colour looks uber in-game, I tried the wiki-proposed 150, 0, 24 on banners and for map and it was awesome... And don't worry if it seems to much of the current venetian, they really should sport the venetian red colour instead, while England can wear any brighter shade... I may do some reskins myself, but not now. Would like to see more previews!

    aaah yes the shade of red is realy tricky i think i will chance it some more times before i am done

    You should just know that our flag is fairly recent, and we did not use it way back in 1080. It wasn't made until 1821.

    The colors of red, white and blue are not traditional colors dating back to the viking age. If there would be any such colors, they would be red and yellow, or golden, from the golden lion on a red background on old, royal weapons.

    I know - that is why I placed the flag of Denmark here, and altogether suggested a different shade of red... Fact is - that we already have too much red and gold factions: England, Venice, Genoa is vice-versa... Blue-red is only Russia. But Norwegian CoA would be Red and Gold anyway, so it is completely to the author of the skins to pick colours for skins.

    The shade you use is good. As to skins - I like (and KK as well, if I remember) the vanilla skins as well, so try to create a mixture of them and the SS ones - do you have unpacked vanilla Kingdoms Norway skins?

    i am currently only skinning. But i will see what i can do for nasal helmets. Mayby use a different mesh for the huscarls and swordsmen.

    I do not have the unpacked vanilla skins. But since the skins of the SS norway faction is the same as vanilla i kind of do have them
