Default Solved: CTD when destroying Romans

I 'm playing as the Epeirotes and conquered most of Italy. Around 262BC I assaulted Arminium where the last family member of the Romanoi was in, I won the battle and killed the last family member. Just after the battle, when I was about to enter the city it CTD. I tried it several times but always the same CTD.
Then I left them there for several turns, the family member left Arminium and I took the city. Now in 251BC or so, the Romanoi only have the city of Patavium left. Again I came into battle with them, killing all their family members and again a CTD...
I quess it has something to do with the 'destroyed faction' movie, but it rather annoying not being able to destroy the faction.

    Can anyone help?

This is my last autosave, when entering the next turn button the Romanoi are attacking my army...

That's odd. You could try running the install validation and see if you are missing some files.

When exactly does it crash? When you exit the battle, when you push the occupy/enslave/exterminate buttons, or some other time?

After the battle you return to the campaign map, then the 'victory' cry and then... CTD

With the "install validation" you mean trying to reinstall/repair files?

It wouldn't be the destruction of the faction causing the crash if it crashed before the occupy/enslave/exterminate option.

There is an install validation stickied thread with a program that you can run to confirm nothing is corrupt in your install.

Though, you crash may be trait related. You could try the temperary trait nerf fix (in the stickied thread) to get past the battle. (If you do, remember to reinstate the original EDCT after you test it.)

    Problem solved!

I added -nm after the shortcut and now it works...

    I'm using a NVidia 57xx graphics card.
