Hi SigniferOne, I've just finished first version of Syracuse battle banners... I can't find .mesh converter for banners models so I made it on vanilla .mesh
-----------------------------------------------
archers
pikes
general
infantry
Superb work!
Nice to see the precursor of my National Symbol, the Triskillion.
I don't know if it goes for this earlier version, but ours is currectly displayed if he is running to the left (anti-clockwise) & it should be as displayed on the third screenshot & not kneeling as in the first.
Like my avatar actually!

In faecorum semper, solum profundum variat.
Excellent start Insomiac. There are four new ones if I'm not mistaken, right?
Keep a few things in mind: don't make the banners too gaudy. You don't have to put in hours of work into each banner, but rather keep it easy and keep it simple. Remember to try not to overload the beholder's eye on the battlefield.
With that said, excellent work (especially with the experience banners, which are elegantly simple and evocative). I would rearrange their assigments however: 1st one can go to the general (as having the faction symbol, I think it's the most appropriate thing to do). 3rd can go to the infantry, as being the most generically 'syracusan'. I'm having a hard time seeing the significance of chariots to signify pikes though. The 4th, though it looks amazing, is perhaps better suited to the Italiote Greeks, so save that for later. In general, you don't have to get a large variety of designs to indicate the various units -- the shape of the flags is already there intended to help distinguish units by their types. If possible, try to use the 3rd (a simplified version of it) as your template for everything, and simply fit it into the various other shapes. Consider alternating its color schemes if you want to add a little bit of variety between the unit types.
By the way, the wavy experience banner in the first picture is a Samnite motif; so save that one for later as well. And rather than reusing the faction symbol in the other 1st image experience banner, consider utilizing a simple outline of the 3-leg motif. Remember the Greek emphasis on elegant simplicity.

just one short question: are the screenshots from PI?
No, he doesn't have our Beta yet. He is using Banzai's mod, if I'm not mistaken.
exactly so
Indeed, it has been banned for taking everyone else's work without permission.
here we should talk about PI not banzai mod...
Excellent work InSomNiak.
