No idea. Is Sparta a faction on it's own in RS2.0? Interesting. I can't think of many units to go with that, but I suppose it's fully possible.

Yes Sparta is a faction alone.
It might have one or two cities in RS2.0,
And according to historical info. at this time had a relation of trade with Crete.
I haven't found a modd that just has Sparta as a faction I think XGM has Sparta as the Capital but that was along time ago when i played it last. It might of changed.
Sparta isn't the swap faction. But perg is. And we will add later other swap factions like Athans, ect, rodes,
hope that answers that.

Also see the Spartan preview to see other units that were with sparta at this time.
Also sparta used alot the Mercs.

Yeah the preview was beautifully done and had wonderful historical units. That's def my faction in RS 2.0

right. pergamum will be released with RS 2.0. we will make other Greek factions, like Rhodes, Massilia, Syracuse, etc. individually, and you will be able to download them, and "swap" them into the game - they will replace pergamon - so, if instead of pergamon, you felt like playing syracuse (assuming we'd released the Syracusean files), you could download the Syracuse batch file, and install it into Roma Surrectum, and it'd replace Pergamum with Syracuse. once you've finished that campaign, you could then replace Syracuse with Pergamon again(so you can have a go at kicking their heads in, perhaps), or maybe you'd like to play a campaign as Rhodes, so you'd download the Rhodes batch files, and then install them, and they'd replace Syracuse in any new campaign you'd started.

Sparta is a faction in itself! you can have sparta and another greek faction in the campaign! we're only having the option to swap in one faction at a time, otherwise things would get MIGHTY complicated!

Barebones 8.1, or BBW8.1 is a mod for RTW by 'Repman'...who has also worked on MTW2 in DLV, I think,....or something.
