    Default couple quick questions

hi guys, firstly thanks to the SS team for a great mod, now on to my questions

    1) how long is a jihad supposed to last? im playing as byzantines and egypt call a jihad on constantinople, turks and moors join in the fun, and sooner or later the moors make it across europe (no idea how the christians let them through xD ) and i destroy their army just outside constantinople. then i notice (using toggle_fow) that the egyptian and turk jihad armies ar going back and forth between asia minor and going up north into kiev (i have both europe-asia land bridges blocked by navies). eventually the turks make it around eastern europe and siege constantinople, i sally out, kill their general, lose about 80% of my troops in the process but now, the egyptian army is still going back and forth looking confused (their general started their jihad at 21, hes now 40+)

is there and expiration to a crusade/jihad?

    2) is there any posibility of marrying a muslim general with one of my princesses? or is the only option to bribe them and them marry them? i ask this because of the 11 unmarried family members i got, 9 of em are female

    3) whats the ratio on time scale? never tinkered with it before. is it 1=1year? if i want the ages (generals princes/ss etc) to be accurate what timescale shoud i set it to? my current emperor is over 100+ years old

    thx

    1. Crusades - until the last army is killed; Jihads longer - if the army is stuck, move it through the console.
    2. I believe yes, but not 100%
    3. 1.5 years /turn in the early era campaign. If you reduce it to 1 to 1, then you would have to reset building time frames as well. However you would have a verrrry long campaign.

To err is human, but to really foul things up you need a computer.
