    Default couple of very minor glitches

    Hi There,

    I'm posting a couple of minor glitches found in my current campaign in hope that the info is of some use. These are not criticisms, just observations, as I think SS is a superb mod. Anyway, here goes:

    I have the English-language version of MTW Gold with SS installed. I'm playing a campaign as England on M/M diff. Everything is great but noticed a couple of really minor things.

    First, the 'Black Death' event video - the language was German (actually, it sounded quite cool). Second, when, in AD1372, my troops took Rennes in France, the city's faction symbol was the Ireland symbol.

    These two things are really minor and I'm only posting this in order to help.

    What version are you playing, 5.1? Also, are you playing with/without Echad's 2.0 fix?

    Hi Turbo,

    Thanks for this. I'm playing SS5.1 with Echad's latest fixpack (although maybe I didn't install properly?).

    I noticed that several NW Europe cities had Ireland faction symbols. Also, when I won my recent England campaign, the victory 'video' had no sound (presume it should have sound?).

    The german language has a fix, the Ireland symbol i'm not sure. I know it is a known bug just don't know if it has been fixed.

    Are you using 5.0 or 5.1?

    do the Byzantines even have elephants, that might be why they look like rtw peasants.

    i remember i once copied spartan hoplites in my rtw game on to the selecuids on the descr_stat file so i could start with them, but they looked like peasants although in battle they were the spartan hoplites they just didn't have a unit card for selecuid.

    Just like the elephant animation, this Carthage scenario is actually in the game, it just has a small percantage factor for showing up, that's all...

    I have 5.1b installed with Echad's 2.0 fix, thats it.

    As for this question Byzantiens don't have elephants as a reg. unit roster but that was a mec. unit.

    Then they should have a merc pic... That is probably not in the correspondent folder, or has invalid name.

    These ones look fine though. I cant wait to use them!!!!!!! I want a whole stack of these guys lol.

    wow thats wierd, some have unit cards and some don't
    any reason for that? i thought all elephant artillery mercenaries had the same unit card?

    Edit: that one has 22 instead of 33 and it has no xp unlike the other ones you got
    Edit again: looking at it again the others are normal elephants. The must be wat echad thinks

    The "normal" elephants have gunmen on top. And the artillry one's wont fire anything so I just use them to run people over!!!

    PM this to KK - he is the one to grab all fixes for 6.0, and he is a lil' busy, so rarely digs anything except the beta topics and PM's.

    Guess it means I was the only one with this issue? ohh well at least I shouldn't see it in 6.0

    Except the rocket ones. Those are ridicious. Lighting a rocket would end up burning the elephants hind end. Another fantasy unit.

    I wanna put laser guided missles on my elephants as well as maybe some stealth features :hmmm:

    Also reguarding the elephants...
    Where else can i get them? Funny thing happened after I got the elephant artillery an earthquake happened and I lost all but 9 of them and figured since 9 of them isnt going to do much I should free up that spot for some archers or something and disbanded them. Ever since I got those two units I havent been able to recurit anymore. Anyone know where else I should be able to get them or if I just have to wait for sometime to pass before i can get some more. These elephants are monsters! I love having them run though everyone...
