I am taking a break from the Foundation series and am currently reading:

Very good book so far. It is about nanobots programmed to be predators that go rogue at a lab in Nevada. It is from the point of view of a stay-at-home dad and that in itself is interesting.

I picked this up due to Hurricane Isaac and I knew I would probably be without power. I'm not much of a reader, but this has griped my mind to where I caught myself reading for over 2 hours last night.

    Love them.

Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

"By Schism Rent Asunder" by David Weber, second book of "Safehold" series. Curious mix of sci-fi, medieval naval and land warfare, politics, religious dogma, espionage. Good reading, worth to giving a look.

As a teenager, I was taken to various houses and flats above takeaways in the north of England, to be beaten, tortured and raped over 100 times. I was called a “white slag” and “white ****” as they beat me.

I'm reading "The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind - By William Kamkwamba" in my Human Geography class as part of an in school reading session everyday.

I am reading "Boot Camp - By Todd Strasser" for an assignment in English in which all students must read one fiction book ( every 9 weeks ) outside of class and make a poster about the 4 most important events and a bunch of other analytical stuff.

I am also reading "Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet" in my English class as part of a in school reading session, after we finish it we will get a few quizzes and assignments relating to the book.

    Stupid highschool
