How do I disable the random economic events? pls help

Hi,

I've tried several times unsuccessfully to disable the random economic events like "disaster on your roads" and "negetive events at your markets" etc...

I have had 95% negetive economic events during this entire campaign.. I've played over 100 turns and only had about 3 positive events.. i usually just have to cheat by saving right before I hit the end turn button and going back until the negetive events dont happan.. if you have all negetive events it makes economic planning kind of pointless.. actually.. it makes playing kind of pointless.. :hmmm:

so.. please help me anyone who knows how to disable this feature of DLV...
BTW I love almost everything else about the mod.. you guys rock.

I would also need to remove or lessen the amount of Royal Hunt, Holy Council. It is fun but annoyingly comes every years

By the way,

I'm playing dlv 4.. not kingdoms..

I've tried deleting certain parts of the campaign_script file, under the "dynamic events" sectin, to no avail...

Any changes made to the campaign_script necessitate a new campaign to see the effects made. This is also applicable for all the files in the imperial_campaign folder.

I've been playing this campaign for months.. .. can't start over now...

can anyone tell me why i always get negetive events???

Because you are unlucky?

It always seems unbalanced but i've noticed that I forget how many positive ones I get and only focus on them when its another "oh crap my mines and roads suck again!"

Just try and stick with it and get yoru economy in a state where these minor problems dont hurt you too much financially.

minor problems?? i'm playing right now.. disaster on your roads disaster in your mines ... disaster disaster.. it's unplayable.. not cool.. my income will be reduced by 50,000 .. that's about 40% of my income.. how is that minor?

I played campaigns before this one and had a truely random mix of events.. this campaign from the beginning has been 95% negetive events.. i have had positive events at markets once or twice the entire campaign.. why?

it cant' be random really can it?

Yes, it really is random!
If there was an error in the file you would not be getting ANY bonuses or negative events - unless of course you have editted the file without starting a new campaign in which case you would experience all sorts of nasty problems.

ok.. two reasons why I think it's not random.. 1.when i go back a turn and do some new things and then hit end turn again i will still get negetive events, but slightly different usually.. 2.the negetive events usually occur when there are enemies on my lands.. i redo the end turn several times and i still get negetive events.. then finally i try killing the enemy army before ending that turn and i will not have negetive events anymore...

the problem is that right now I can't kill these enemies this turn... i need to wait for a bigger army get there.. but i can't deal with this negetive events every f-ing turn.. it means I either go bankrupt, or I spend 1 hour between turns sometimes.. it's really becomming unplayable

ok.. so.. exactly as I said.. I just tried redoing the end turn about 4 times.. each time going back to the previous turn and making some new movements or adjustments or something.. then .. at the beginning of the next turn I would always have some kind of negetive events like on my roads or markets and/or mines.. different each time but always negetive.. finally.. i tried killing one of the enemy armies on my land before hitting end turn . this time there were no negetive events.. I have had this happen many many times.. this cannot be considered "random".. no way in hell....

anyway.. thanks for everyone's comments and help ... this mod has a great community ...

at least it makes sense to have negetive events happen when enemies are wreaking havoc on your lands.. i can live with something that makes sense and that i can at least try to avoid in some way.. i jsut wish it were fair and gave me positive events sometimes...
