i want to get stainless steel but im afraid that if i do it will ruin or crash the game or ruin and slow down my computer.So Will It?????:hmmm:

SS is a bit more demanding on your hardware. It depends on your rig--processor, memory, graphics card and its memory. You can compensate by turning effects down a bit.

I do not have problems with crashes, however.

same here no crashes, its crash free. about slowing down computer, don' t know sorry.

SS won't kill your machine as DLV (Deus Lo Vult) would, but if you're running on low-end hardware you might expect some problems. I had it with RTW - my graphics was so weak that I had no textures on campaign map, only shades of blackness. And when I tried to run Europa Barbarorum on this hardware, it just crashed. No harm to the computer was done, though. Obviously.

DLV is heavily scripted and does not slow down you PC AFAIK. It does slow down the game however.

That's what scripts do, they take time to execute, and during that time CPU works its hands to the bones. Thus, slowing down entire system including the game. But scripts don't use graphical processor or significant amount of additional memory, so only danger is if you don't have proper cooling on CPU.

Hey man, I never experience a crash, except the well known crash on desktop, when u are in the early campaign menu and u play with the, icons of factions, or when u go backwards and onwards.

Anyway u will never have a crash if u start a game.

If u have an older PC, the best way to accelerate the battles, so u will never ever have lags, go to the options on the main menu and change the graphic's properties.

Change the shader model to version 1 and u will have best performance and quite nice graphics. By changing the shader model to 1, u can still have all the other on high/very high mode and still not to have lags.

Note that the graphics will be perfect, but the shader model will remind u the Rome Total War, but if u have lags, it's the only way to play M2TW SS. Try it and come back tell us ur conclusion.

As for SS, download SS 5,1 with the 5,1b patch and echad's fix 2 with icon pack and u will be alright
