Princesses
Hi Guys,
I'm new to SS so please forgive what might be a silly question.
At the start of my (England) campaign I had several princesses on the campaign map. I used them to bag faction heirs and good generals. But now I am about 80 turns into the campaign and princesses no longer show up on the map, so I can't use them as strat pieces. Is there an explanation for this or have I missed something obvious?
When I check my faction family tree I see that I have unmarried adult princesses but I cannot find them on the map. And yet suitors keep appearing for me to accept or reject.
Also, as a related question, what happens when a princess marries a general and that general dies? Does the princess become available to marry again or not?
Again, apologies if this question is dumb but just thought I'd ask.
Finally a big thank-you for SS - a very great and noble mod.

Re: Princesses
Most likely they are inside settlements. Right click on Agents tab, you'll get summary of all agents you have, including princesses.

Re: Princesses
I think he means daughters that do not appear as princesess at all. It happens, only some of them turn out as a piece you can move and marry to foreigners. How this is determined and if it happen more in SS as vanilla i have no idea. But only some daughters are available for marrying abroad, rest get suitors from your own realm.
Edit: and no, no second changes in marriages.

Re: Princesses
It depends wheter they are real royal pricesses or just the daughters of a sideline of your family tree.

Re: Princesses
Then it would be another point against adopting in the family. Pretty stupid of me not to notice only mainline daughters get to run around Europe.

Re: Princesses
Hi Guys,
Many thanks for these replies. OK, now I get it, only royal daughters can be used as strat pieces - I guess that's fair enough and something worth bearing in mind when adopting etc. Thanks again.
