    Default Scythed chariots for Pontos... defence=1???

    Hey...

    Someone should take a look on the EDU for the chariots.

    It looks like the armour stats are inverted ... I mean the chariot defense is 1 and the rider has like 18 armour????

    I inverted them manually in my EDU but I thought I should report.

    Also... I'm 400 turns in my Pontos campaign VH/VH and must say it's a great challenging game.

    Just 2 complaints.

    1- flush the toilet... every 30-60 minutes when changing turn (slow!) or loading battles I get a nonsense CTD. It sucks because I have to repeat many battles ... it kills the fun.

    2- bridge sieges: I have not seen a mod yet that fixes what I call bridge sieges: a city has a bridge next to it, and you can siege the city from behind! that means that if the city rallies out, you get a normal city battle, but if reinforcements attack the sieger, they have to cross the river to attack!!!! weird, huh?

    And 1 wish:

    1- I have never found a script which solves that: you know that after the Cannae Battle, Hannibal impressed the Carthage parliament by showing them tens of thousands of rings and jewels taken from the Roman corpses at Cannae. I would like to find a way to take money from winning battles... not sacking cities, but from camp battles!!!

    The chariots do indeed have funny stats... But I'm not a team member and I'ven't seen an explanation for it either, so can't comment on this.

    Interesting... I've had maybe 5 CTDs during the past 8-10 months that I've been playing this game.

    Weeell...

    Even if on the campaign map the river is right next to the city, there might've been a mile or a few between the river and the city, so...

    Meh. Don't know if anything even can be done, I aren't a haxxor.

    Not sure if that's possible... Never seen anything like that in a Total War game. But, if it is possible, it'd make sense, imho.

    I don't know much about stats, and chariots are weird in the stat department...

    When do you get the crashes between turns? After battles? Randomly?
    Have you installed all of the permenant fixes in the sticky thread in the bugreport subforum?

    Reinforcements attacking a seiger will always initiate a field battle rather than a siege battle. This is just how the game engine works.

    There was a minimod (over at the Org) that someone was working on that was trying to script money to the victory of large battles. I think it was called "Spoils of..." something.

    Hey!

    Thank you I've heard about spoils of war... will check out and report !!!! interesting info indeed...

    About the river siege complaint... maybe it can't be fixed, ... unless changing the map so that no bridge is adjacent to a city.

    The idea is that... how can an army be sieging a city from "behind the river"??

    I know it's just a small detail but I've always thought that siege battles, even if it's reinforcements from away that attack the sieging army, should be in the city map, just like raids from the besieged city.

    Also It would be nice if you could have a fight when a city revolts, not just a scroll report to find your army out of the city.

    It would be cool to have, for example, a city battle where you deploy your garrisson units in randomly selected areas of the city as the AI deploys the rebel units in another areas... And have the chance to crush the revolt by the force!!!!!

    And btw, will look for that bug-fixer... have installed the EB10.exe cleanly.

    And the CTDs happen usually after battles (after winning difficult battles mostly!!!!) and sometimes during AIs turn.

    EDIT: ok I checked ... the fixes are for permanent crashes and I think I'm only getting frequent flukes. The spoils of war minimod ... I can't even find a reference to it. But thanks!
