CTD help!!!!

Hi there!

I installed Rio IBFD VII

1) I made a copy of BI to rtw folder and renamed rio
2) run installer

BUT the games starts, starts the welcome screen and then CTD with
a message "unable to mount database" and a cas for horse archer missing

any ideas? I also have to tell that this rtw folder is a copy of the original

I have gold version

the folder is

c:/program files/the creative assembly/rome total war2

I'm sure we can figure this one out,

The destination of the Rio VII Flagellum Dei and Rio VII IBFD Expansion mod installer is:
C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War

-You need the rtw/bi 1.6
-then copy the bi folder within the rtw folder.
-change the copied bi folder to rio
-Install the Rio VII Flagellum Dei Mod(Installs over the rio folder)
-then the Rio VII IBFD Expansion (Expansion will install over the Flagellum Dei)

The rtw gold version has a different root directory. This might be the problem. You can change the Rio VII installers root directory to the gold edition if it is the problem but also remember the Rio VII Expansion needs the Flagellum Dei mod to work. Let me know if this helps....

Do u mean that Rio needs the original IBFD VII?

If yes, I also have it in the rtw folder

as

c:/program files/the creative assembly/rome total war2/iBFD

of course I directed the installer to the right folder

The Rio VII Expansion needs the Rio VII Flagellum Dei
I can see how things can get confused but try and remember that the name "Rio" is always the trademark name of the mod

Also the Roma Surrectum mod, if you have that, may cause an issue with other bi mod switchers...I believe some bi files are used thus changed resulting in conflicts.

I made a new folder with copy paste the entire vanilla rtw/bi, make a rio folder from bi, run the installer to the right folder, run expansion to the right folder but still the same "unable to mount database" error

anyway, thanx for help, original IBFD and IJ rocks,so I bet the same for Rios!!!

:hmmm:.....Do you still have the original bi folder and also now a rio folder within the rtw folder?

I can make you a non mod switcher if you want. It just can't run with other mods like the mod switcher..the old way of playing mods.

yep,a complete new rtw folder with both rio and bi folder present

Anyway,guess 25 mods installed on my pc is enough

A complete new rtw folder??? No need to to copy the entire rtw folder. Just the original bi folder within it. Well if not the issue, we tried...take care.
