    Default Installation guide?

Hey everyone. I've been out of the TW scene for a while. But I'm looking to get back into it. After looking around at all the mods available, this one looks like the the one I will have the most fun with...

What I didn't see was an installation guide... since I've been out so long I don't know what patches and the order to install everything in.:hmmm:

Any help on knowing what I should do would be much appreciated!

    Thanks

the Stainless Steel 5.1 thread is at the top of this forum. first page, download that...

then, as you wish, install the following mods in the following order to get the most out of SS5.1...

    Echads Fix 2.0 - http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=134046
    XAI 2.2d - http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...3786:thumbsup2
    RR 1.0/RC 1.5 - http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=149832
BGRIII Supply and Command - http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=106060

only install the XAI2.2 if you want to try a different AI. the AI in Echads fix pack is very good, so is XAI. its basically personal preference. try both.

general rule... ALWAYS install ECHADS FIRST and BYGS LAST.

You pointed to wrong topic for RR, not only the last one is 1.0/1.5, but you also linked to a Longer Campaign topic instead.

    Cool thanks!

The links this other person posted in this thread up top... Are all of those things I need to install? Are they all compatible?

I'm definatly looking for a harder game in any way, I've never been able to lose a campaign in this game no matter what I did... So I'm really hopeing for some more difficult game play.

The links posted above are all user created add-ons to this mod.
It is up to you todecide weather you like them and will use them or not
They are all pretty much compatible to SS 5.1, but you should carefully read the installation instructions nonetheless.

XAI is not my favorite AI to be honest, I mainly use Lusted's final AI's. But you should decide that on your own.

    PS: I like you avatar.

So in your opinion, wich of those should I install with lusteds AI? I know lusted and his work, so I trust you when you say his is the best :p (next to darth that is winks)

I'm just trying to get the most out of the game at this stage and enjoy my time in it...

I prefer Lusted's AI because it is a good balance between overly aggressive and a good building up AI. http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...=lusteds+final

XAI is very aggressive, and the AI tends to leave there settlements empty.

Hey guys, just wanted to ask if this mod is language version sensitive ? Will it work with a polish/german/whatever version other than english ? Will it use english or polish language ? Or maybe both of them will mix ? Do i have to mod the game in any way to make it work with a version other than english ?

It'll probably work, but I think you will see a polish/English game.
